Basicly what I need is a portable solution to play GT4 in 1080i. Can I connect a PS2 console straight to an LCD computer monitor, without using any computer to link them together. I guess I am not sure if the monitor will be able to display an image without a video card. Would one of these products help? I have component out on my PS2 cables now. I've searched LCD/TV's and am not happy with the findings. What kind of delay/picture quality can I expect assuming one of these (or another) product will work for this? Thanks for anyones help! :)

*Edit* I'm beginning to think this won't work, I don't see how it could select between 480i/480p/720p/1080i?

Thanks. I all ready read that thread and a couple of others. My question is will 1) LCD+PS2=picture? Or is it 2) LCD+PS2+Transcoder=picture? Or is it 3) LCD+PS2+Transcoder+Computer=picture? I'm guessing 2 could work, but not sure if it has to be 3. My other question is how do you swap between 1080i and 480p? Also what is the quality and response of playing something like GT4 on one of these LCD's? The pics of GT4 in 1080i look way better than 480p. Thanks again.
