Sweet Jesus that's the most expensive pile of junk of I've seen in a while. I bet he feels like an assclown.

Looks like it held up well, alot better than the other car.

Thing is, I know that road (Ringinglow Road).

All I can say is "How?".

Come off it. I'm 8 inches taller than him. If I put my hand on his head he wouldn't be able to land a punch.

CalibraDan - It's, excuse the pun, dead straight. How the smeg can you hit TWO cars on a dead straight road? The Golf passengers - if he WAS showing off - are lucky they're still alive.

I was the happiest chap in the world when Barrera beat him fair and square.

That pic reminds me of when Mr. Bean totalled his McLaren.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy!

EDIT: Three men? SLR's a 2-seater isn't it? Was one sitting on the other's lap?

... or the Prince is a good driver on a normal commute (no showing off or anything) and the Golf driver had a tire blowout or was driving drunk and found himself on the wrong side of the road. That'd do it.

And the third car involved?

There is no 3rd involved... It was following Naseem - From what I can read in the article.. And I doubt they tried to run in the SLR so the Mondeo must've been unhurt...

"Police said the boxer's Mercedes was travelling out of the city with a Ford Mondeo when the star's car was in collision with a Volkswagen Golf driving in the opposite direction. "

"How?" hard is it to figure this out, he probobly passed the mondeo and hit the golf head on.

You must have missed this part:

I am FROM Sheffield, remember?

The road is straight as a die. If Naz didn't see the Golf coming the other way, he'd have had to be functionally blind or receiving oral sex for a good 2 minutes - check the hill in the distance...

It also doesn't look like a head-on collision - the front right is damaged, but the left-hand curtain airbags have deployed (without the right-hand ones), the Golf has continued on from the impact site (rather than moving backwards from it) for about 20 feet and has been turned about 90 degrees. The SLR has also continued on from the impact site, although in a more controlled fashion (2 tonnes vs 1.3 tonnes).

I also noticed that its no overtaking the golfs side of the road which could mean that behind the scene there could be a hill or crest. Maybe the SLR was overtaking a car (mondeo?) in a stupid place, as the came over the hill/crest he spotted the golf, by the time he swerves back its too late and his right side cleans up the golf??

Just an idea.

"Eye witnesses report Hamed's McCLAREN MERCEDES SLR - which sports the unique number plate NAS1 - went out of control during a dangerous overtaking manoeuvre on a country lane near his home town of Sheffield, England and crashed into an oncoming vehicle"

I live about 5 minutes away and know Ringinglow Road well. It is a straight road - but it does have dips in it, if you were travelling quickly you can be unsighted to oncoming traffic down in the dips. Eye witnesses have stated that Naz was overtaking at the time. It also has some badly sighted side roads where old people like to sit at the junction, waiting for cars approaching, then pull-out in front of them and procede to travel at 20mph. Naz is well known for totalling fast cars, he totalled a 360 Modena whilst on a test-drive a few years back. He obviously hasn't the talent to handle them, or perhaps his feet don't reach the pedals sufficiantly - but again, i didn't say that. :sly:

I said - or rather didn't - the exact same thing to someone earlier today :D

I remember the Ferrari incident. I also recall him driving like a complete and total (pl)anker in his stupidly effete Jeep Wrangler when I encountered him in Sheffield (Gerald Sibon on the other hand was driving his 911 like a granny).

Even with the dips - which I don't think are THAT bad (not as bad as those near Worksop on the other side of North Anston) - this was at 2.30pm on Sunday, which I believe was a fine day (I was in Milton Keynes at the time). Hitting someone coming the other way is almost criminal inattention.

And an interesting read: http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?threadid=3789

So Naseem was attempting to overtake another vehicle while going over the crest of a hill. Pure genius. The driver of the other car should sue him for every penny he is worth.

From what I've read this guy is a complete ass behind the wheel, showing utter disregard for life in general, and the police don't even care. Seems like a guy who shouldn't have made it out of the wreck alive for the good of mankind.

Too bad, nobody can make it so he can't pass some sort of test to drive these cars.

He's going to wipe off the Supercar species at this rate.
