Try softening up the rear quite a bit (springs and shocks) and lower the stabiliser settings to 2/3 or less. Also raise the rear ride height quite a bit.
Settings like gears and downforce depend on the track, but high downforce (30/20 or similar, I like higher front for front engined cars) is useful on most tracks with turns, and the gears autoset to about 10-12 should work in most cases :P

Without checking the game for now, test these settings and see if they work (front/rear):

Spring rate: 12/6
Height from minimum: +15/+30
Damper bound: 6/3
Damper rebound: 8/5
Stabiliser: 2/3
Downforce: 30/20 (if you get a wing)
Brake balance a little towards the rear (3/8 or something should work for DS2)
ALL aids off, naturally.

These are my generic settings for "fixing" understeering FR's, might be a good starting point. If it gets too oversteery, make the rear springs and shocks tighter (adjust in small increments to get it just right). If it still understeers a lot try raising the rear more, soften the rear dampers even more, and/or add some negative toe to the rear.
