:bowdown: to all those who found their way out of the "Green Hell". And a big big :cheers: to those who tried and tried again, unsuccessfully. Now we can have "I raced GT4 WRS week 30" printed in bold letters on a T-shirt and wear it during our LAN parties :lol:

Feel free to upload your replay in this thread even if you're not requested to do so.
Replays are not a means to dissuade cheaters from posting bogus times. By posting your replay, you allow slower drivers to learn faster racing lines, better braking techniques... You also allow faster drivers to spot your own mistakes and they can give you a few hints about how you can improve your own GT4 skills.

I browsed through the old threads and here are the drivers who have posted 5 replays or more :

The Nurburgring can be very frustrating, expecially with fast cars.

big congrats to all those who manage to get a good lap with this car... just for the record, my best lap was a 7´05´9xx, but dirty...

never got the hang of this combo...

well, hope to see you soon veilside, curious to check that replay... so 37 times? i thought we would have more since its the most appealing track of GT4, but its ok, bring on autumn ring, i love racing at home 👍

I remembered it this morning, but was already at work, and couldn't get home in time... Guess that's one mistake I'll never make again...

That was pretty funny to see an exact reverse of how those 3 finished...

Guess I can only win races in Div 3 when they're held at the Ring! :)

I'll have my replay posted in a few hours when I get home from work!

Never thought id see the day hotboi was beaten by over 5 seconds.

I hate it, i had soooooo many 7'01's and i just ran out of time to race.

Was sitting there till half 2 this morning trying to get a clean 7'01, but to no avail.

I have to sit there behind a Cinnamon Flavoured Molusc and some fattily cooked vertically challenged potatoes again.

Oh well, it was fun.

First time ive been compelled to try the WRS for a while.

Back to the NRS i go!

Hey all,

I was hoping to get a time worthy of a required replay. :( :lol:
The replay will still be up within a day or so since I kept it and have to upload replays for .de anyway.

Also, I feel like crap about that list of people who submitted times... It's like the WRS didn't exist before GT4 came out and so it seems like I've never even thought of submitting replays. :indiff: :rolleyes:

Anyway, great job with the racing everyone! :cheers:

Everyone below me, just keep working on it... The Ring is a crazy track and I'm sure you will all do better than me in the very next week where we aren't at the ring. :P

I suppose this means the ring actually is a strong track for me but at the same time, many of my closest competitors didn't put in the time they should have with this race. :(

Actually I think I broke the curse in div 2 with 3 wins in a row with weeks 26 to 28, but maybe you mean for div 1 only.

Congrats to Holl on an incredible lap 👍 You did exactly what you said you would try to do, and that's to beat Veil here on the Nurb. Congrats to all podium finishers :cheers:

As for me, had I gotten time to do more runs, I would have ended up with the 7'03-7'04 crowd. I was on a dirty 7'08 with a 6'22 or so T10, and I know I had enough pace for 6'17 to 6'19. But alas I didn't have the time.

yes, i was refering to overall wins... if i´m not mistaken i also win 3 in div2, can´t remember... doesn´t matter because it was unoficial... but the whole discussion was about the overall win, and veil, curtis and holl had a shot at doing that before

Yup, my time was from Friday (first "real" session). I had a 1'07.8 TWICE and one was dirty with a slight wall touch exiting Kallenhard, and the other was a three off at Hatzenbach. I knew that the first lap was dirty and I was ahead of my ghost by about a second at T8ish so I was taking it easy to back up my previous time. Too bad I forgot how wide I was so early in the lap. DAMN!!!

Oh well, I wasn't officially last in D1, but I'm sure Jase with decent seat time would have easily beaten my time. OTOH, I LOST two positions because of it. Good thing there isn't money or bananas at stake.

Anyway, good fight this week, amazing times by the Superfriends as usual, and thanks for forcing the practice in a very appropriate car for passing M34.

But overall I am somewhat pleased with my finish. Last race at the nurb I think I was eighteen or twentieth in div2, so this race was an improvement for me. I had a couple dirty laps in the 7'02.6 neighborhood, so at least the tail lights are bit brighter this time.......Practice, practice, practice I guess. :dopey:

My replay won't be up till the weekend.

Why? Too long to explain indepth, but basically through being naive w/how the Max Drive and the PS2 mem. card interact during the transfer of files, I lost the replay that conincides with my lap time posted above and could only manage to find (Through the grace of the all-powerful) a previous replay from one of my 1st runs on this track back from when Flat_Out first posted this weeks combo... which itself is .908 slower then the final time above!

(Seems that the device actually 'cuts' and 'pastes' replays from the mem. card to the USB drive itself...and not 'copy' and 'paste')

Therefore, technically speaking, I think this dq's me! ??? (Submitting a replay which does not match times PM'd to a mod for a particular event...)

However, seeing as I'm not familiar with the rules as they pertain to this particular type of predicament, I guess I'll have to wait unitl Flat_Out reads my latest PM concerning this issue!


NOTE: I'm posting this now, in the event that the submitted replay is deemed invalid because it differs from what I PM'd Flat_Out, who by the way has already been informed of this and he should make the call to DQ me and thereby elevate electric from 2nd to 1st and so everyone knows in advance should this happen and want to know why...and because I think it's the right thing to do!

Heh, not out of time, out of talent! Yes, I will most definitely have to spank my monkeys (doesn't everyone have more than one?).

It's killing me that I couldn't clean up my 7'07 runs or do any better. I guess I just need to resign myself to the understanding that to get better than 50th percentile in D1 I have to run 10 hours or more. I _only_ ran 7.5 hours this week, and I guess I can't complain about my time too much...

By the way, the monkeys that I sent to space suddenly see dead people. Is this normal?

I'll leave the Unofficial D3 leaderboard update until after the decision from Flat_Out regarding SRD.
 
Yeehah!!! I'm quite chuffed with my result...I'm a big fan of the Ring and 4th will do me well 👍

Here's my replay if you're interested. If it turns out to be a different lap let me know and I'll post the correct one. It'd be good if the MaxDrive gave more than a picture to let you know which lap was which?!?

That's gonna suck if it was personal data (which is what I use).

Sorry to see you take the hit but atleast you've got the maxdrive for other races.

NTSC max file. I believe this is the correct one, pictures always kind of dark to see on maxdrive screen.
