I've just recently had this idea rolling around in my head. I wont have full access of a PS2 until Xmas break and beyond, but until then I wanted to throw around this idea.

The basics of this is to mimic the modern Targa Floria, or other similar classic car rallies like the Targa Newfoundland. The cars will be almost all the classics from GT4, broken up into seperate classes of similar styles/eras. All will be from before 1980, and I will probably keep most if not all of them in stock form.

The tracks will be made up of European temporary street circuits like Costa de Amalfi, Citta di Aria, Opera Paris, George V Paris, and maybe another. The season should run for about 5 races.

Each race will be 2 weeks long and will be a simple competition of the fastest lap. The times from all 5 races will be added up to form a final total, and determine the winner within each class.

The cars that I plan to have in this series are listed below. Only a few cars have been left out simply because I felt they didn't fit (most noticable are the American muscle cars). The individual classes will be finalized before the start of the season

If anyone has any ideas they'd like to suggest, be my guest.

This series is also being proposed at the GTX

I should also point out this will be more of a "fun" series, instead of hardcore competition. There wont be any time verification or anything like that, merely a way to have fun with some classic cars.

Competitors will be required to pick one car at the start of the season and use that same car for every race. The upside however is that this only applies to each class. So, you can race different cars just so long as they are different classes. It's completely up to you how many classes you want to run.

I've updated with classes for the cars now, so people can get an idea of the competition.

This looks like fun , ime having a few technicals w/ the verification devices but would always be willing to participate in a more open format , especially when it covers GT4s generous classic inclusions.

Good to hear. 👍

There wont be any verification here, this will merely be for fun.

Bugsy Golf GTi:D

Lol, not usuaully interested in classics but this looks good. Id fancy ripping up the Golf GTi.

Definitely interested. Not too good with the old cars (1000 Miles was the only series I did entirely in B-spec.), but I'm a fan of the "good old days" of the Targa Florio, Mille Miglia, etc. So count me in.

More then likely will start after Christmas. There should be a spot race between now and then.
