My vote would be Deep Forest, I hate that track with a passion (all the way back in GT2). This f---ing track has got to go. I usually just don't play that track, but I was playing Tourist Trophy today and I have to race there, it just reminded me how much that track sucks. So what track would you NOT like to see in GT5?

they could drop all the dirt tracks & it would be 100% ok by me : )

the fantasy tracks in GT have been laid out to provide a driving challenge (when you drive according to RL rules) - & they do this well , but im all for RL tracks : )

There are some tracks that I don't like, but I would really, really hate to see them go. Same thing with rallies. I hate it, but hate it even more to see it go.

P.S. GT Series certainly has educated me, not just in cars and driving, but also in tracks. I sure understand them better today!

Hong Kong. I B-Spec that track every time it comes up. It's awful for fast cars. It's okay for slow or mid-speed cars, but throw a RUF or a Saleen in there and say "hi" to the wall. It's especially bad if the race has no qualifying and you have to start at the back.

Sometimes the rally tracks really frustrate me, but I think that's a game issue not a track issue. On the hard rallies, it seems like only a computer could manage the level of control the opposing driver displays. And then, of course, you're about to pass when he brakes suddenly, you rear-end him, and get a 5-second penalty. Grrrrr...

Everything is good, even the rally tracks, but I hate Opera Paris.
Agreed. The Hong Kong track is bad too.

I hope they don't bring the Special Stage Route 11 back, that is the worst of them all.

I guess I'm not a person for tight tracks like this.

Oh, G.T! R11's been one of my favorites since the first Gran Turismo. :D
Hair-pin after hair-pin, certainly not my type of track!

Long, fast swooping corners for me! :)

I wouldn´t like to see any track go, but I think Tsukuba is the most boring track in the game, so if anything should go, my vote would be Tsukuba. But I´d rather see it stay, and have more tracks added as well! RL tracks preferably..

I don't want to see any tracks go, but I wouldn't mind getting rid of Opera Paris and Hong Kong track. Those 2 tracks are completely awful.

OFFENSE
* I have always had a natual hatred for Autumn Ring. The Autumn Ring Mini course can stay, but I've always hated Autumn Ring because the course is just an accident waiting to happen for me. Beautiful as the course is, it's evil alterego will always provide headaches for those giving it a run with faster cars. This is just like why I hate using very fast cars on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, because the course too risky for very fact machinery. Yet the idea of LMPs on Autumn Ring seems like a classic matchup to some people. * Citta di Aria was a track I always feared. I've hated it even more with some of the license tests including the Final which has you racing one of my least favorite sports cars, the Lotus Esprit. The compliment I've given Citta di Aria is that it has a beautiful setting. Other than that, I'd probably tell you to be thankful damage isn't in GT4, because your car will be f:censored:ed up after racing around these streets. And people like to b:censored: about street courses not having passing or having one lane of passing, many tracks are nothing. THIS is a bad street course where you make more mistakes than faster lap times. It is also one of the tracks where I will actually admit that it isn't for weaker cars, considering you're climbing up the hill to the Finish Line in the normal configuration. * I've hated Autumn Ring, but one track HAS to go immediately (or at least replaced)- the Beginner Course. I would replace Beginner Course with either a better beginner course, or even Mallory Park. PD may have to define beginner. Does beginner entail someone who can't race a car properly or have the money and know-how to take a car around the track? A track like this would have been perfect for Sega GT classic, where there weren't as many interesting courses. I'd even replace Beginner Course with some sort of amateur-level course like Thunderhill or Willow Springs.

DEFENSE
* Ah, the usual "get rid of all rally courses" deal. I'd just improve on the rally detail. Featuring as many different racing disciplines as possible makes racing games fun and varied. If you want to be an ingrate, go right ahead. * Seattle isn't a bad course. It is a suspension track which also favors a great-handling car. It is a nice challenge. Take it from a guy who defends most street courses. * I'm not good at Tsukuba, but I respect the course since it is a very popular proving ground. At least this track is more interesting than Beginner Course. * I've hated Opera Paris and Hong Kong at first, but I find myself taking back my hate of Hong Kong. Believe it or not, I do a lot of street course testing at Hong Kong because many courses can have unorthodox and non-flowing corners. This track gives a lot of them to you at once. Opera Paris is more of a car breaker as well as a super-slow course. If I wanted a French street course challenge, I'd probably look for a better track in Paris. I'd keep George V Paris. * Special Stage Route 11 was actually fast and fun, though Tokyo R246 surpasses SSR11 in these respects.

There is still room for improvement. I'd likely suggest a collection of interesting amateur courses as well as world-class pro level courses. I'd also be interested to see PD come off with a few more original fantasy courses not based on real cities. How about some quality race courses which exhibit the PS3's power? Just don't make some of the mistakes Forza Motorsport made with fantasy courses. What mistakes? Mr. *McLaren* made his claims long ago on certain track designs in Forza. Do a search for it.

Eh, I say keep them all, add in the tracks from the previous GTs, and add even more, including fantasy tracks. Although Hong Kong does give me fits too.

I like Hong Kong, Citta di Aria and SSR11.
I don't mind Opera Paris.
And I can't believe you all didn't mention George V Paris or Seoul Circuit (which in my opinion is the worst track ever devised in the history of mankind!)

I don't like a lot of the tracks, but I would never get rid of them. If I don't like them, I'll just beat the races that take place there, and not drive in it again. But I wouldn't complain about a track just because I'm not good enough to drive well in it. In fact, I would race on that course until I get good at it, by which time I would most likely learn to like the track. The only exceptions would be the test course, but even that track is useful for top-speed runs.

OK seriously, who here knows or even wants to know every turn of the Grand Canyon course? I've never liked rally in GT. It seems like something that is an added bonus rather than a part of the core game. Seriously, why learn the 80 turns of Grand Canyon ralley when you will only race there ...maybe 6 times?

If PD doesn't put more effort into ralley it needs to go. It is just taking up space. They need to put more effort in it by running a championship with multiple cars in stages, where time is the deciding factor over the stages not points.

As it stands rally is a waste of time because PD does not put enough effort into it and I'm sure 80% of GT fans agree with me.

I will tell why I dont like Seattle. The thing is a Rush Escape from Alcatraz arcade track stuck in GT4. Jumps where you get 5+ feet of air? Racing over railroad tracks? You got to be kidding me!

My list gets longer

Opera Paris - Layout is a mess. Wonder if it took them 5 minutes to plan the course layout

Meh, SSR11 is ok, but it's a great photomode track. I'm partial to Hong Kong. It's cool in 3rd person, and again, great photomode track, but racing on it sucks. But it should be kept. But with Opera Paris... butt ugly, and no fun either. 👎

I despise George V Paris (whatever it's called). And as far as real life tracks, without a doubt Twin Montegi must go. I mean its almost perfectly flat 80% of the time, way too wide, too many straights. Overall it has no variety and is really borning, I honestly only like 1 turn on the entire track.

Opera Paris...i hate that course with a passion. its a horrible track in my eyes. but the rally tracks, keep em. it changes the game a little bit and also makes people that race road races (strictly) to alter their racing styles to complete the rallies.

Oh wait... you call Costa di Amalfi too narrow? What, is Citta di Aria US 101 or the Autobahn?

I can understand why people dislike Seoul Circuit. I'm actually not offended by it too much. The reason being is that I look at this more as a high-speed street course with speeds a bit faster than Tokyo R246. You know what this track somewhat reminds me of? Believe it or not, it kind of reminds me of Monza, only much less technical. This is a very interesting track to me. It is a short course. Longer courses are easier to screw up entire laps; shorter courses can be treacherous if you are trailing. I probably would have liked a longer circuit for Seoul, but I'll accept this short Seoul course. I'd recommend this track to test high-speed capabilities ranging from acceleration and top speed, all the way to high-speed braking and handling. It kind of favors the heavier muscle cars, since you want to blast down the streets and have to be cautious of each turn. The course looks like a deep frying pan or something.

How many of you actually agree that PD could have found better roads for the Paris Circuit (not the tarmac rally)?

No wonder.. All they had to do was look at a map - find the tricky parts, take a littel walk and look at the surfaces.. It's a friggin' BRILLIANT track.. Love it !.. In a non tuned R5 Turbo.. Yummy !...

The only track I really don't like is Hong Kong..

[Edit:] I've walked Opera Paris btw. There's no mess in the layout or the surroundings - it looks like that..

I don't want any of the tracks to go, I just want more to go along with the ones we allready have. I like the difficult tracks, I enjoy the challange, and I race them so many times trying to get get good at them, that I end up getting very good at them. The tracks most people are complaining about are the ones that are supposed to be difficult.

I do however agree with some of you guys about the rally racing. I think they either need to improve it greatly, or just get rid of it all-together. No point in having it wasting space when it isn't that good. :)
