crb is the most loyal member i've ever had in all the forums i've run (and there's been a lot, unfortunately all long gone) and now that i've finally shelled out for a domain name and webhosting i've bought back my forums onto a reliable host (have always used free ones before).

Please do not delete/lock this topic as i really need help to find him, the forums honestly are just not the same without his presence but i've tried everything i could think of to track him down. This isn't meant to be an advertisement for my site/forum, hence why i haven't included the URL.

We lost contact after The Spot (my last forums) went down for the last time late last year i think.

Tried PM'ing him here but it hasn't been read, tried Googling his whole name, username, location etc but no luck. Tried his MSN e-mail address but the e-mail bounced back. :nervous: :( Does anyone else here live in Olympia and can perhaps try look him up in a phone book?

Please helpy me peeps. :( :)

This probably won't be much help to you, but there's reallly not a lot of hope of finding someone with limited info like that. For all we know, they might have stopped using the internet completely.

You know his real name, which is one thing though. Have you tried sticking it into one of those phonebook websites?

If you look at his user profile, you'll see that his signature plugs another forum. I would suggest having a look there. Also, his sign-on e-mail address for GTP is not an MSN address. I suggest sending him a PM: this will cause an e-mail notification to go to his sign-on address.

[EDIT] Ah, further deduction reveals that the plugged forum is yours. Oops...

Yup, it was my old forum he's plugging. And have already tried PMing him.

Where is Sherlock Holmes when you need him. :D

Well he's not in the Olympia Phonebook but is on the Whitepages.com website. Dad said he will try ring him but as he's just got a job as manager of a Dollar General store he may not have much time.

As much as i don't want to ask, are there any online records kept of peoples deaths?

Yeah, it'll be a big toll call considering i'm in New Zealand and i don't pay for the phone bills. :s

Also, i can't see the phone number on the white pages site because you have to purchase the search (for crb) results.

As much as i don't want to ask, are there any online records kept of peoples deaths?

Not to offend, but why?

But to at least be helpful, it probably only consists of their time of death, public name, and cause. If you want though, I can search for a site that keeps these kinds of records for your country.

Well, no results came up for him on that site Syxx_Killer, so thats a good sign. :)

He's not living in New Zealand *McLaren*, so don't need a local site thanks. :)

Little bit freaky, but i had just remembered another active member who was part of my last forum and was just going to e-mail him when i noticed theres a new e-mail from him in the Inbox. o_O

Okay, absolute last resort now.

I know this may be a big ask, but i can try pay the money back to you somehow. The three Charles R Bellis' on this page are by far the closest match to our friend, but as you can see there are no phone numbers or addresses visible because you have to pay for the results.

Someone would be doing us a HUGE favour by paying for these results and trying to ring the numbers (if they are displayed?) to inform (hopefully) him about my new forum (may be easier to direct him to skylineobsession.com than the forum url).

As mentioned, i will try and pay whoever (if anyone) back the money it cost to get the results. He really is the backbone of our forums and is missed by everyone!

Thanks. :) :( :s

Sorry to bump this again, but does anyone else have any ideas? How would you go about finding someone?

According to Qwest, there are 5 Charles Bellis' in the US. Most notably is this one as he lives in a suburb of Seattle, less than 2 hours away from Olympia.

You might be able to sweet talk one of the Seattle dwellers into giving him a ring. I hope that helps and I hope that's him. :)

That has to be the man... crb is registered under another username at another GT forum, and there he gives his location as Lynnwood, WA... same as the chappy you've found 👍

The crb here has his profile saying he is from Olympia, which is not Lynnwood. He would have said Seattle....

It looks like he is a Seahawks fan, so you have the right area.

It was over at GTVault and although he's not active there, but he did log in there in July, 2007. Saying that, his last activity (according to his public profile) here at GTP was May, 2007. I know that crb posted a link to GTVault once here at GTPlanet (here), and his username at GTVault is Chuck, which is also what he said his real name is here at GTPlanet as well (here).

Why do you care so much? Maybe he's married with children or something and doesn't have time for internetz anymore. I would be REALLY creeped out if someone from some forum I used to visit tracked me down and called me and stuff.

It scares me sometimes to think some members may have died or something and no one ever knew they visited this or other forums...:nervous:

Because he has been by far my most loyal member in all my previous forums, even posted more than my own family members who have been members.
He's the only person from memory who's been a member in every one of my forums, and there is no reason he suddenly wouldn't want to be a part of them anymore. The likely reasons he's 'disappeared' are many, i'm thinking he doesn't have internet access anymore or something.

He was/is married and has/had been for a while.

It would kinda be like GTP moving and then Duke or someone not knowing where its gone - you'd notice a big 'gap' in the forum of which that person would have filled...
