Something like that in the next GT wouldn't be bad. In this game, it's just O.T.T. Only it's actually still superb. Bravo, Swiss, bravo.

Looking really good 👍 Feeling the far background should've been blurred just a little less though. Looks like that 'Lady just took off from the dragstrip, a nice touch you could do would be to make the rear tyres wider because they look really small in this shot.

I really like that TVR you entered in the H2H competition Swiss 👍

Yes, very nice indeed Swiss! I like that you have removed the big ugly name plate from the front of the car. Definitely looks better! And yeah, if you were to air brush in some wider tires, that would give this shot more of a muscle tone. Not that it's a muscle car, but you get it...

Anyway, very nice shot! I get a good sense of speed when I look at it. That was my all-time favorite car to shoot in GT4, and in that yellow. Nice work! 👍

O.M.G. Uncontrollable :drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:
:embarrassed:..Thanks DJ!

Thank you fir the critique buddy. I felt the whole background should be blurred. It was just grandstands in the background. Nothing too far away that should really stay stationary (ie. distant trees)
Anywho, there's a link to the updated shot with wider tires below. :D
Thanks for the comment on the TVR as well 👍

NTX
OMG!!! OMG!!!

 Don't flip out Nuno. I am glad you liked it 👍

I like this one, pretty good update, it seems almost perfect. The door lines are great and the whole shot seems to have texture on it 👍
:embarrassed: almost perfect, I'll take it 👍

Thank you! Yea the plates are always awful aren't they? I have seen your work with that car man. Fantastic. I can't wait to see your GT5 updates that I hear you are gonna dabble in.
That car is amazing to drive in real life as well. I test drove one when I bought my Xterra. (they have the same engine as well :D)

Sorry dude, but I couldn't help myself! I wanted to see what this would look like with the car lowered a tad, and it went from there, and this is what I came up with, and I thought I'd share with you. Hope that's cool with you!

Oh, and will totally be all over GT5's photomode. I can't wait to get some shots of a SRT Challenger. I'm hoping it makes it's way into GT5!

^ I really miss the way you edit photos in such extreme 👍

I think Swiss really did a great job, but the blur was just a bit out of place. The reflection can be smoother as well. Anyhow I think 440 pretty much got them fixed.

So do I, franz, so do I. It's been many years now that I've tried to get such extreme colours, but I've never been able to achieve it. Throughout his whole gallery I was searching for clues on how to get those painting-like colours, but the "duplicate layer and set it to soft light, then edit levels on base layer" never worked out for me. If there's one thing I'd ask of 440 Charger, it's a little guide just on the colours, that's it. Only colours, because that is what makes his work so fantastic. Too bad he doesn't have the time though :indiff:

Hey, I'm making my comeback! When GT5 arrives I will be here! I would be here more but I don't have a PS2/GT4 anymore! :indiff:

And the colors, well, I guess it's just adjusting the levels to get the right amount of contrast and getting your darks dark and keeping the image bright enough without blowing out your lights. Then, like you said, duplicate the layer, blur it, change the blend mode to soft light, and adjust the opacity of it until it looks right. Then add a gradient map layer adjustment over that, with colors of black 0%, red/orange 40%, yellow 75%, and white 100%. Then change it's blend mode to soft light and adjust opacity until you get what you are looking for.

That's the best explanation I can give. But first, you need a good pic to start with, that's one of the biggest things. And it helps to have a colorful picture as well. And Swiss had both, so... There you go Bram! I swear, that's all I do! :)

Wow, fantastic Swiss!👍 Amazing work with the blur. You forgot the border on the wide-tire version though.
Thanks! Glad you liked it. Technicalities on he border..technicalities. :P

Uhhhh........ In the world of photomode, it is an honor to have you edit one of my images :D
I really wanted to lower it myself, but didnt realize it until towards the end, and could really apply it. Next time indeed. If that Charger does make its way into GT5 we'll have to do an update together on that one. Finally a muscle car I can really relate to, one for a new generation.

Thanks for the comment franz:tup: The road blur was a bit off indeed. I screwed up while applying the shadow to the car and couldn't get my way out of it, so I had to redo it. :indiff: oh well.

gonna go try out your technique, ( along with Bram )
Results this weekend when I have time to edit a new shot. 👍
btw. I have heard that you haven't spilled your editing secrets before, is this true?

Hey, there are no secrets, I promise! Truly, everything I use is in the tutorials thread. The radial/motion blur, cut/paste blurred wheels method, and clean-up, all in the tutorial thread I do believe. Maybe not the clean-up method, but there is a good clean up method in there I think. Not positive on that though. There isn't one for the way I apply the red-ish tint, but I pretty much just told it up above, so... I would like to make my own tutorial thread, or at least add them to my gallery page. That way I can just direct people to it when they ask!

But honestly, I have no secrets. These tips and tricks are much better off being shared with others so that more awesome images can be produced and created by all of you. If I can help with their creation, awesome!

But I will also say this... It takes a lot of practice or trial and error to figure some of this stuff out. You can't just automatically become this awesome photoshoper because you read a trick on how to do something. You really have to figure some things out for yourself and you have to learn what looks good and how to achieve what you are trying to do with the tools you are provided with (or the tools you know how to use!!!). You have to train your eye so that you know what your looking for. It's hard to master the smudge tool on one shot!

Later Dude! :)

I spent three years trying to get any close. Now Nic comes back and gives what I think is the final clue and my GT4 disc doesn't work! The irony!

*EDIT* I think I may have just figured it out :D

The best way to learn is to just DO! 👍

In some gallery news...
- I have another couple of shots in the works. Keep an eye out! ZONDA BLUR!!!Hope fully it'l be out this weekend.
- The TT/GT mash up is completely gone out the window. I realized I have been wanting to do it for over 3 months. But it just doesn't look like its gonna happen! Unless some of you guys can send me some TT shots. That would be excellent.

It seems like this is where all the old guys are popping up...

Heh, It's good to see you still pumping out quality shots Swiss, I especially like the older Evo finish line one. With GT5 finally seeming to have a firm release date, I've wanted to get back into things. Maybe I'll clean up the pile of dead links/pics in my gallery!

Keep it up!

I'd send you some TT shots...

..if I had TT, that is.
:grumpy:
I appreciate the thought bro

Thanks slip! There have been some guys comin out of the woodwork lately indeed. Glad to see you back. Only a few of us update fairly regularly now. Kinda sad really. Can't wait for new life to be breathed back into this place once GT5 comes. Good luck cleaning the gallery. How bout some new shots also. 👍 That'd be awesome.

Oooh, oooh i have some!
Dude, thanks. I am gonna look through these this weekend. No time yet. But I really appreciate it. 👍👍👍

I like the lighting, in your latest shot.
Thank you 👍

I hope you don't take it the wrong way but I like your reaction... like Oh oh!! wait!! waving your hand very happy!! ;) good pictures too.. even without any touch ups...
I kinda thought as well...like a school kid who knows the answer in class and really wants to share it.
But I looked through those shots speedemon, I can really use some of them. Gonna start soon. Thanks again 👍

Well...on with the next shot.

Thank you 👍

simply put.. wow! I like the way this shot is angled, and it just makes you think... it's either in a controlled slide... the driver is yelling "oh Sh**" or your just having fun on track.... great shot!!!

This shot is epic! First of all, the car you've chosen is really rare. Then you've cleaned it perfectly, so that it looks very real. Additionally, you've added perfect blur to the background, so that the shot screams 'Action'. Also, the picture was taken at a good angle, with the right amount of shutter speed. The brightness/ contrast were set greatly, so that this shot becomes perfect! The last point I want to make is that this shot is very clean and sharp, which is an important thing in my eyes. All in all, I can say that all the work you've invested in this picture was worth it and that you earn all my respect. Keep it up, I really can't get enough of your shots, Swiss. 👍
