So if I join, am I obligated to show up to 95% of the events or just casually show up to a few, I will try to make as many as possible. Also I try to race as cleanly as possible but I have, on occasion, had lag and people said I hit them when I didn't...do you guys know of anyway to fix this, it only happens rarely.

You can show up when you can. No obligations. I am not an expert on Lag. Is your PS3 wired to your internet or wireless? Also clearing the cache is supposed to help. I can not remember the instruction on how to do this but perhaps someone else can chime in.

Also if you do a speedtest from your PS3 you can post the results here so we can look at them.

Wireless but NAT type 2 and very rarely has any problems...I think it has more to do with the PSN messages strangely enough, when I delete them it has less problems. I will try to remember to do a speed check next time I'm on it, hadn't thought about doing that, thanks.

At main GT6 menu press start and go to options. Near the bottom of the next screen should be network or network options. Click there and there should be a window that pops up with clear cache.

Just a reminder to take 20 minutes to run this weeks Time Trial. There will be a prize at the end of the month for the DTC'er with the most points. While I can not promise Hat Cakes there will be a prize!

DTC Time Trial
Week 1

Lotus Europa Special '72
@
Ascari Full Track

The car will of course be stock (PP - 411, HP - 132, Weight - 730kg) and will run on Comfort Medium tires. The event will run from Wednesday - Tuesday. I want to keep this short and sweet so would like people to accept the gentleman's agreement that they will only spend 20 minutes on the time trial with no practice. This combo was chosen by me of course and I have not run the combination.

Tuesday Race Night
(Event will take place in a friends only room)

12/9/2014 at 9:30 PM EST / 6:30 pm PST

This event will run with a combined PP of:
1650(SH)

All cars must be between 392pp and 433pp on sports hard tires.

Qualifying and the first race will take place at

Deep Forest (Reverse)

If you plan to race please add Ice_Warden on PSN.

At the risk of sounding like a moron, are the cars stock (excluding oil change) or can be tuned a little as long as the total of the four doesn't exceed the total limit? From the OP it sounds like they are stock, if so awesome, I like racing cars stock.

The cars are stock with oil change. The PP value for all the cars can be found using the link in my signature that says DTC Known PP.

There is also a signup sheet there that can be used to help you with your lineup

I found it, thanks. I'm assembling my lineup currently and will try to make the event today, but if I don't show up then don't wait up, I've had to leave for some reason or another.

Don't forget to send a PSN friend request to Ice_Warden in order to get in the room.

Setting up a practice room…

Closed.

Final Lineup:
FF - FTO GP Version R '99 411pp
4WD - Pajero Rally Raid '85 424pp
FR - FR-S '12 413pp
MR - Berlinette R/S Coupe '99 402pp

I really wanted to use the IROC but it is just no competitive at 429pp. :(

@WhiterunGuard
FYI, you are only at 1618pp total with your current lineup and that 3000GT is slow as dirt.

I'm testing that as we speak, but I'll take your word for it, I just grabbed the first ones I could that would come in under total...and still missed the lobby lol.

Either way, you still have 32 more PP to play with across the board.

Well since I missed the event, no one's fault but mine, I did some testing with my picks on the selected track.

I had never driven any of these four vehicles before.

Fiat Coupe Turbo Plus '00 (FF) - 1'36.714 (I'll admit that I used CS tires on the rear, thus invalidating my results, and it still felt as if the front wheels were going straight.)
Lexus IS 200 (J) '98 (FR) - 1'35.342
Lotus Elise '11 (MR) - 1'33.851 (I had heard rumors that this thing was quick but wow is it amazing...except up hills.)
Mitsubishi 3000GT SL (J) '95 (4W) - 1'37.418 (Just as 88GTA said, this thing sucks at this course and was beaten by the ever underwhelming fiat coupe turbo.)

The event has not started yet. Its a 9:30 Eastern start time so you still have 45 minutes:)

Also one thing to point out is after the first race the track changes. The winner of the race gets to pick the next track from the list on the OP. This can sound a bit confusing at first but once you get the hang of it you will have fun.

You can run harder tires if you want but unless it is raining you will just be putting yourself at a disadvantage.

Yeah, I read that, I was just getting a baseline for the vehicles so I could see which ones need to be swapped...definitely the 3kGT.

your too slow;)
No I'm just fine. You are a Jedi, that's the problem.

@WhiterunGuard
If you're looking for good cars, check out the number of times used column (E) in the known PP tab. That should give you an idea what to stay away from.

Room up. Clear cache.
