I have so many possible line-ups for tonight in my head. I thought I had settled on one yesterday but now I must test more cars after work. Arrrgggg.

Typically we know on Thursday what the limits and qualifying track are for the following Tuesday. So about 5 days notice.

While many of you are gearing up for the DTC event I wanted to announce the inaugural DTC Race Car Time Trial. While this may not be an obvious choice I think it will provide a close battle for that top spot with lap times that may be separated by 10ths not whole seconds. I hope you all enjoy it!

The car will of course be stock (PP - 449, HP - ??, Weight - ??kg) and will run on Racing hard tires. The event will run from Wednesday - Tuesday. I want to keep this short and sweet so would like people to accept the gentleman's agreement that they will only spend 20 minutes on the time trial with no practice. This combo was chosen by the PTB.

4. Once in the room start the Race (Time Trial). This will give you 20 minutes to set your time.
5. Once the event is done save your replay. Your results will automatically be posted to the event comments.

You might want to send a friend request to koszak27 and Ice_Warden as they sometimes host the rooms friends only. Also make sure to join the club and feel free to send me a FR if you would like.

I guess it comes down to the original PP range. Since the maximum PP was 2000 this meant the highest PP you could use was 550 (later changed to 525). At that range Racing tires just provide too much grip in my opinion. Now that we do splits that mean we use cars with PP as high as 600 maybe we can revisit that. What do you all think?

It would be cool. It's been weird when we get to the higher PP cars like GT500 race cars and putting sport tires on them. Let's discuss tonight!

Tez as the winner you get to choose the next event (no testing). The only guidelines on choosing the next combo is that it be a different drivetrain and different class (based on PP). Tires will be 1 harder than the car comes with from the Dealership. the classes are:

I think I did better this time, it's hard to restrain the urge to drift...this is the first real racing I've done online everything else has been 300-375pp range or drifting. I plan on getting better to keep up with you guys.

It hasn't been allowed since GT5. When GT6 came out it was karts only and it remains that way, sadly.

I remember having a couple DTC races at Kart Space on GT5...

Ok interesting challenge, but what do you do when your battery runs out? Mine runs out within 5 min or 6 laps. I can't figure out any way to gain enough charge to get a positive gain other than idling my car for a while to recharge it. Accelerating, coasting, braking, etc. I've even tried pitting. Is there something I'm missing here? I really just did my best time in 5 laps and then let the time run out. I let the car coast for a while to get more charging, but that only gave me 2 more laps.

That is part of the challenge. You need to be quick right away

Remember you must start the event and run e dull 20 minutes. When that is done it will post the time on the club event. Without that you will not be ranked.
