Good turnout today, great racing guys. Sorry it got dark so quick, messes up the start time. Group 2 will start at 18:00 in game instead of 19:00 so it stays light for a while longer. Got lots of stuff to do today and tomrrow so results will be posted Sunday evening. I should be home in time for Group 2 tonight.

Great racing again. Finally got my first FMSC win (should have had that last week, but I liked crashing too much).
The first race went well. Had a great qualifying lap. Almost dipped into the 46's again but didn't want to push it and risk going over the lines. The race start was good and I managed to bring break the draft early.
Race 2 was pretty much a disaster. First the track wouldn't load, then I hit a false start penalty. Then I spin Ben around for the first time of this race, before the second sector.
Then two corners into sector two, I spin all by myself. After that it was a time trial trying to make up for lost ground. I think there were two crashes that helped me regain ground. Finally got up to 3rd again and was trying to pass Ben for 2nd and wrecked him coming out of the last corner on lap 10. Really sorry, again. He must be really sick of seeing my car near his car - this marks two weeks in a row.
After that I just laid off and didn't contest a spot for the last lap. I really couldn't see after lap 6. I had the brightness maxed out on everything so that didn't help my racecraft any.
Hope to race again tonight.

I hope I got all the jinxes out of the way for Round 2.
Q'ed 4th for the first race. After T1, my car suddenly gets shoved off track and I fall to the rear. No matter, I clawed all the way up to 3rd anyways which is where I would've finished anyways given my pace.

Man, I love going back and watching that replay. Can't wait to see some of the photos you guys create from that. That first lap was very tight action. I had a head on collision with someone who spun out and had engine damage as a result. But the turnout was great, so I found plenty of people to race with for the entire race. Goose times.

If you can, export the replay, then using the PS3 copy the file to a USB drive, then .zip it up (or .rar). After that attach the file to a post here or upload the file to a file hosting site, or email it to me (I will PM you my email address in this case).
It's not important but if you can do it, it would be great!

Group 2 Room is OPEN
Reminder:
Track boundaries are within the white lines that line the track. Two tires must stay within those boundaries at all times when curbs are not present.
Where rumble strips / curbs are present, two tires must stay on or within them.
This includes the final chicane.

Seriously, that first race is why this series has always been my absolute favorite. Being part of that battle almost makes the end result almost irrelevant because it's such a blast.
Almost.
No way the second race could match the first--hit a rolling roadblock, got sideways, did a few overtakes and took another podium.

Well no one was on the outside so I had to dive in there!
Oh yeah, and managed to finish my first race outside the podium in race two. Finished 4th after having trouble going through traffic. Finally got around Tim after he spun around so I tried to chase after Rich. I ran 4 consecutive laps under 47.1, including a best of 46.757, but it wasn't enough, and I finished a second behind him.

Travis (carracer) is in Group 1 so you technically finished 3rd.
I will thank Tim for holding you up, though. I was just awful in the last sector and mediocre through Bit curve, so I had trouble running low 47s.
