Randoms popping in and disrupting the racing is the main reason we went to friends only in most cases.
Practice makes perfect. Hopefully you saved the replays so you can watch the faster drivers in your division and study their braking points, and what gears they use for each turn. Once you've done your studying, hit the track and try to beat your best times.I feel like my performance last night was not so hot, does anyone have any tips for getting better?
Makes sense, but what's worse? A few messages popping up during the race? Or constant disconnects, qualifying order issues, room unable to be found, etc, etc?
Probably worth a shot to try open lobbies for divisions having trouble until the friends rooms get stabilized. I'd also bet that if the room names said OFFICIAL or LEAGUE ONLY, something of that nature less randoms would join. Snailracing.org D(1/2/3) doesn't make it blatantly obvious that its a league race for those unaware of snail.

sounds good, I probably won't truly be able to get on until Thursday.Let me know when you want to do some practice sessions I can see where you are at and go from there. I should be able to point out a thing or 2 lol
The West Coast has been using open lobbies. I have managed to host 10-12 drivers and that is with me on wireless and netflix streaming in another room. My speeds are only average at best.I think we should switch from friends only rooms to open lobby rooms. From what ive heard the open lobby rooms are more stable. Last night was terrible in d5
Yea. Last night was my first ever night hosting (d4). I used an open lobby due to the lack of time to add people (I made a last minute decision to host. I have just above average internet and had no disconnects or lag.The West Coast has been using open lobbies. Someday, we might get some useful community type features, and this whole friends only thing can be a fading memory.

if not.. just return it and buy it again. You've got to be kidding me...I just bought this for $230 on amazon last week. Does Amazon have the deal wher eyou can still get it at a discount 30 days later?
We had someone come in, get on the track (even with pp/hp restrictions) refused to get off the track and intentionally messed the race up. So it can happen.Makes sense, but what's worse? where do i declare my paint colors and #?Take a look at the top of this page. If anyone can think of anything that needs to be linked that we use on a regular basis, provide the link and tag me in the post and I will add and maintain this post.
Hopefully, @zer05ive can link it from the first post and it can serve as our table of contents to make it easier for everyone to find the information they need without anyone having to break out a fish.
But with potentially 24 drivers in d7, outsiders could deny a D7 driver a spot in the room. Just saying....The reason why I run D-7 in an open lobby is simple. I have many other friends that play GT, many of which are drifters. With the amount of driver changes that happen I cant keep deleting people and adding people that i only see once a week at most. So i keep it fair to my drift buddies because we all run comps together almost everyday. I probably will continue to run D-7 in an open lobby it is easier that way.
Well I've made something haha.
being D6's photographer I decided to go about it a little different.
(by all means nobody should be this crazy and do this)
with a little help from @Wolfsatz and his creative post. I have taken it to the next level!
I think(probably) I am going to make one of these for each race on Sunday.Had a lot of fun doing it.
Keep it the same with 3 pages and probably the same layout (general speed of creation increase)
But just following the first 3 positions(example below) (unless leader has no excitement going on, in witch Ill improvise)
Please be kind to me with comments and views on this idea. (I do love feedback tho) This is after all my FIRST ever "comic strip" I’ve created.
And also please feel free to save these if you would like, they are for everyone!
all that being said, Enjoy
(I think this is wicked).
I will try and have the rest done come tonight.
Note: final standings are just based off of my replay (I read someone was invisi) so I apologise if that is not 100 % correct

that happened one night to me in Jan. spectatorsBut with potentially 24 drivers in d7, outsiders could deny a D7 driver a spot in the room. Just saying....
I'm going to grab the top of the next page and gather everything I can and put it there. He can either link to that or clean up the first post with a table of contents. I know it's a pain to edit the larger posts that were around on the old forum.
its called a kick button and im not afraid to use it. and i also keep the list of drivers handy so any unwanted will be kicked. i havent had a problem ask any other driver that has been in the roomBut with potentially 24 drivers in d7, outsiders could deny a D7 driver a spot in the room.
