Now that it's dark by 6:30 in the evening, I may be able to find the time to do some Sunday racing. There's just too many other options when the weather is nice and the sun is out.

Sorry for the late notice, but it looks like I won't be able to race tonight.

Slight possibility that may change but it doesn't look good.

Have fun...see ya next week.

Announcing the November Lineup for S.N.A.I.L. SPEC Racing

The Drivers List has been updated with Promotions for the month of November.

We're contracting to 3 Divisions this month, primarily due to the fact we're playing a game that's over two years old. Be that as it may, to all the S.N.A.I.L.s that come out to play week after week, Thank You! Just look at all the One Year trophies on our drivers list :D

There's no clear cut formula for getting promoted or relegated. We take into account a number of factors to determine candidates for promotion and relegation. Once we've identified the drivers, we analyze the data at our disposal and make sure the people being moved fit into the Division they're being moved to. Then we pull the trigger :dopey:

Some of the criteria for being ELIGIBLE to be promoted or relegated are:

1. Points for the month
2. How many drivers are in each division.
3. Race pace
4. Individual Lap Times
5. How you compare to other racers in your division and the division you're a candidate for.
6. Number of times you've raced that month.
7. How cleanly you've raced this past month.

Why do we do this?

1. To get you involved in races you will be racing in, not just putting in laps.
2. To incent you to improve your driving and racecraft.
3. To give you something to strive for.
4. To make it possible for you to have fun playing GT5.

We want you to be in good, close, clean racing 👍

If you have any questions or concerns about promotion or relegation, feel free to pm me. I'd be more than happy to talk to you about it.

N.B. If you were promoted and don't have access to the lounge you're assigned to for the November season, please send a PSN Friend Request to the appropriate SNAIL_DivisionX account. If for some reason your Friend Request is not accepted, let us know by posting on the thread!

Cheers and good racing all!

kcheeb

I guess nobody wanted to get promoted because there wasn't a single FR sent to any of the new divisions. ;)

I've just finished sending them all out, but please let us know if you still don't have access to your new division.

Two questions - What were the lap times being set for rounds 1 & 3 at practice this past week?

Are we allowed to adjust B/B via the R/A functions throughout qualifying or the race(s) themselves?

I have yet to do so myself in previous weeks because I assumed it was part of the no tuning policy but I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong.

EDIT: Practice in D2 👍

Funny... after checking the new driver's list i got a little confused to see in D2 people that are regularly slower than me!!!
I'm not gonna question the reasons that kept me on D3 but it definitely got me very confused.
Anyways and by the other hand, it makes me very happy realizing that I will be battling some good old friends like Goat, ExoSphere and CMBeal again.

Because when you were in d3, there were 5 d's. Now there are 3...

I'd like to announce another exciting partnership with our friends at ButtKicker, the world's foremost brand of low frequency audio transducers! The ButtKicker 4D Sports Challenge will span our November and December seasons, and at the end of these two short months we'll enter the finalists into a random drawing. The winner of the random drawing will win a wireless ButtKicker Kit!!

The wireless ButtKicker Kit features an all-new, rock-solid digital power amplifier that cranks 400 watts into your sim racing rig or couch. Feel the gut-wrenching punch of a crash, the pounding of fenders, racing engines, backfires, gear shifts, rumble strips, screeching tires, engine throttle and more. Turn down or turn off your subwoofer and still feel all the bass - even while using headphones. Take your sim racing or movie watching experience to the next level of realism with the wireless ButtKicker Kit!!
The wireless ButtKicker Kit is a “Silent Subwoofer” that turns any home theater into a 4D theater. Feel all the action and special effects – like you’re in the movie! Movie theaters around the world use ButtKicker-brand products to thrill their audiences, now bring the same excitement home with a wireless ButtKicker kit. ButtKicker-brand products accurately reproduce bass and special effects from the subwoofer channel of the sound track… Silently. They “shake” your couch or home theater seating precisely in sync with your movie, video game or music.

Rules for the ButtKicker 4D Sports Challenge:

    • One ButtKicker point will be awarded for each Sunday night race that a drivers competes in
    • Drivers who are not on the starting grid for any reason (network issues, lack of DLC, being late, etc) will not receive a ButtKicker point
    • Any driver that is imposed a penalty by the stewards will also be docked an equal amount of ButtKicker points
    • The more ButtKicker points a driver has earned, the better odds he will have at winning the random prize drawing
    • ButtKicker points will be docked for inappropriate behavior in the lounge or on the thread (e.g. posting a public racing complaint instead of filing an incident report)
    • The prize will not be shipped outside the United States or Canada

I think there needs to be some separation in the title there. I read "feel the action spots open" and I wondered what an action spot is, and how it opens.

Not only that, but how would one feel an action spot open?

I'm proud of myself for not tapping all the innuendos that could be hammered out of that. Wait a second...
