◆ SNAIL [Nissan 370Z] Challenge

This can be confusing. A tuning prohibited room in GT6 does not allow any tuning except brake bias, power limiter, and (on some cars) the center diff setting. So for this particular series we are running with the brake bias at 4/4. He is using this setting to simulate the real car more accurately than the default brake bias of 5/5 does.

For G25 button settings, hit the start button at the main GT6 menu, then find settings for the steering wheels and choose the G25. In there you can assign a function for each button on the wheel and on the stick shift box that has the directional pad and red buttons.

Thanks very z0, you have very nearly completed the puzzle for me. I'm taking your reply to mean that the room will be tuning prohibited (yippee) and I'll apply your advice on activating the AR menu when I'm next on line.

Frankly, finding anyone who's willing to race on C/M tyres is something I never thought I'd came across, I'm feeling quite giddy.

Cheers, Zo.

Just a question but if this is trying to simulate reality should we not be running with ABS turned off? GT6 ABS is like god mod abs that makes you drive faster, unlike real life abs which is there to save you in case you mess up.

Yeah the ABS in the game really is the greatest of all time. Definitely makes corner entry way easier too. Ultimately we can only work with what the game provides, and the real car does have ABS so there needs to be a compromise. The intention is to better simulate the street version of the 370 that anyone could buy brand new. And with damage set to heavy, turning ABS off might cause mayhem on the opening lap. But if we were trying to simulate a real racing car with no ABS equipped, then absolutely we'd have ABS off.

Just as a reminder for tomorrow's race, be prepared to race on a wet track. It might be a perfectly dry race anyway, but just don't get caught off guard. Also if anyone was wondering, the spec tire is always comfort mediums so if it does rain you cannot pit for rain tires.

And there will be a pre-race practice room up at about 1pm if anyone needs time to get ready.

Hi chaps. I'm very much up for this format, but I've got my family here this weekend, and I'm scuppered for racing I'm afraid. It's driving me quite mad!

See you all soon, hopefully.

Cheers, Zo.

Pretty eventful race today. Kinda wish the rain would have stayed a little longer to make it a little more difficult and add some spice. The results of each race and the championship standings will be updated in the 2nd post now too.

Anyway, picture time .......

So there will be a practice room open tomorrow at 1 pm. And there's there possibility for rain at GP/F too so be prepared for a wet track.

And while I was wasting time on YouTube earlier I found this video. If offers a nice little comparison from the race last week to the real thing :). Looks like the car is automatic (with flappy paddles) in the video, but still nice for back-to-back comparison.

Would you be interested in changing the setup for this weekend so we can run with an oil change so that we don't have to worry about who has one and who doesn't?

I'm just going to make it abundantly clear if anyone new joins. Suddenly changing the rules isn't exactly fair to those who prepare for the regs as they are now.

And I'll have a practice room open at 2 pm today.
