Hey guys,I will be there tonight at 7:30 central 8:30 Est. cant wait. I'm not sure if I like the one hour race, it,s fun and all, but it's a long time in the seat for creaky old ass, whatever tho, I go with the flow.
You better....you seriously middle aged fhart. Lets do a couple of 30s at the ring and two 20's elsewhere......
Lets do one on the Type V and one on the 24 hours layout. Hells bells....time for FOOD and IV
Finally got a racing wheel, should be more stable in my driving with the wheel than i was with the controller. Still getting used to going from controller to steering wheel. Bear with me, will take time for me to get used to the wheel.
It's great Lessen. I am getting used to it and still just as clean as ever on the track. Just like with the controller, using the wheel will help me get faster lap times more i use the wheel. Don't have to use the pedals since the wheel acts like a controller. Are we going to race tomorrow night being Memorial day night or wait to race next Monday after that, i was thinking of a special event for Military veterans tomorrow night, maybe switch colors as close to military color or flag color.
I'm still out from getting up at 3AM Sunday morning to race GTP ES at the Ring....thanks for putting with all the Nordschliefe tours we did over the last weeks..they paid off as Texasnd I finished the four hours in third on the lead lap ( well it is a BIG lap)...before we got DQd for a technicality that had nothing to do with driving. ( damn team manager is an idiot...oh wait...I am the team manager...oops)
See ya next week
Edit: attaboy To @TEX36 ....the average age of the drivers in our car was 70.5...talk about gentlemen drivers....Robbie was supposed to be with us to lower the average but he got involved in real racing....hope it went well. @RobbiefromBC GREAT SETUP !!!!!
What's with the increased use of Sierra and Nordschleife? To be honest, I don't find it that enticing. I'd rather be at smaller tracks where we can attack the same corners many times and try different things. If I'm honest that was the original intent of this series right? To practice racing tightly in a group and working on clean overtakes. It makes more sense to attack the same corners many many times instead of Nordschleife or Sierra.
I'm with DP on this one. Unless you know every corner that's ahead of you on those two tracks you are not going to be able to compete. Sarthe is a little different in that there are not that many turns to learn.
As for the track selection tonight, I will be there on whatever tracks are picked. I love this series.
Maybe we can use a higher powered car for the longer tracks....... Sambabus, yeah.
Hi gang..i am entoute back from picking up a new Subaru Forrester....handles better, brakes better, is faster, gets better mileage than outr 2007 Outback...and will hold two 100 pound pups.
I will therefore be late.
Champ please advise all that I STILL pissed about the quality of driving I saw at the Ring two weeks ago. Be nice guys..or be prepared to find something else to do Monday nights.
Anyone who causes another to go off course or makes significant contact will concede....to the back of the pack ....without being told to do so. This is fun...lets keep it that way.
How about going back and doing some of the earlier races, but switching the cars around. I'm sure many weren't around for the entire series so it may be the first time for them.
Thunder storm knocked out the power. I am out for now. Great track pick @TEX36 ! Thanks for hosting @racingchamp30 . Super great racing with you all!
👍
