Could we possibly use the second hour of practice tonight to try the cat and mouse thing instead of the shuffling?

Mayham Mondays it is! We can flesh out the details in game, but the only real requirement is the mouse car all be the same.

for mayhem you might also want to try high boost rally races with the slower rally cars. it takes " trading paint" to the next level.

if you guys are interested, these are some of the cars I get to drive at my job:tup:http://s1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff381/imtolegittoquit/cars/work cars/
Oh sure, just brag away:grumpy:. Make everyone jealous.
I actually got to work around a lot of cool cars too before I got laid off. Not quite as impressive as your line up. But lotus 7's, a caterham, a couple of ferrari's, Bentley Continental GT and a slew of other rad cars. Wish I could find pics of the garage.

however, you got that beat in spades man.

Anyway, enough autopron. Im actually not a fan of rally racing in gt, it feels like an after thought in the game and kinda lets me down. I agree though that its can get wild, especially on the snow courses.

I agree, i've always like the feel and bumpiness of the dirt series when it came to offroad racing.

DiRT was cool, I was a huge fan of Colin McRae (may he rest in peace). That crazy Scot. Hell of a racer, probably the only guy that could have ran Seb Loeb. Glad he switched up to formula one this year. Now first place will matter again.

Did some breaking in today. Just an FYI for those that dont. This is actually the first time I have.

91 NSX

0 miles
264 hp
208 tq
432 pp

139.5 miles oil change
277 hp
218 tq
439 pp

232 miles oil change / engine rebuild
280 hp
220 tq
440 pp

Pretty decent increase.

264? hmh, When I got mine it was 258, but still ended up at 280. which I believe is the real cars "actual" hp.

Great to see you here legit. You'll enjoy this league. Based on what I saw last night, I'm sure you'll do well in division 1. You just have to go through a week of division 2.

Anyway, for tonight's practice session, the first hour will be spent running Sundays combos but with more laps. Based on previous responses, the second hour will be cat and mouse. You guys are gonna have to help me out with that since I'm not exactly sure how that works. I'll post the room number before 9pm cst. I'll set the room max to 14 tonight just so we can accommodate everyone.

It will make sence once we are on track, its easy, and trust me, you will want to win. cause the wild car is so much more relaxing to drive then the mouse, especially the 1st place mouse

damn, sorry guys, I got locked up on that cat and mouse game. Seems like it's happening alot lately. Clearing cache, so hopefully it's not my ps3 getting toward eol. errr. twice in one night. Anyway, thanks for the practice and see you all around.

that was mega fun

I tried my best to give you nice shots on the straights, zero....didn't want to push you through the corners though since I wasn't sure if you were going to be using the track or trying to shortcut :nervous:

Yeah, that was an effin' blast! I thought we had that second race! We definitely had a good look at it at least. Had I been able to squeeze through that huge pile-up on the final straight we would've been golden!

Rally, that was a great suggestion! Cat & Mouse FTW!! At one point during the second race, I was getting pushed by tez, and he was getting pushed by Diabolic.. I was trying to get serious and concentrate, but I literally couldn't wipe the huge grin off my face! However, next time we need to split up you D1 guys.. You and Diabolic paired up on the first race was a no contest! Two ringers on the same team.. not fair! :sly:

I think 2 wild cars is insane too. Especially when I gotta stop the other from pushing the leader to the finish line:odd:
Idk who said it, but yeah, that is a game you start at 11, and then all of a sudden its 4. Glad you guys enjoyed it.

Yeah, diabolic, tez, and I definitely had a caravan going for a while! Thanks diabolic!

Personally, I think wild car(d)s are cool when there are odd numbers, but if there are even numbers then we might as well have everyone be on a Cat & Mouse team. I think it makes everything more strategic and less random. Then again, is there any point in strategizing during such chaos? :boggled:

Regardless, you make the rules since "Mayhem Mondays" are yours to run now. 👍

I had a reason...I wanted to be a mouse at least once so was hoping to finish up that second race quick. about 70% of the way through tez starting blocking me street all that work i did. hence i pushed bowler to victory down last straight.

I had to work hard to undo all that work you did! Haha, so, the five times I have played now, havent got to be the supercar yet. Just the mouse and the wild car.

wrxsliver, Cops and robbers, as I take it, and have seen on the forum is more like real driving. get a lot more people then we have, like a full room. everyone except the police pick street cars, and the cops picks something faster. Then you then you start driving, you go the set speed limit, you follow the traffic laws, usually points are set up as like stop signs or something. If a cop pulls up behind you, the chase is on. then its a dash to the finish, if the copper gets ya stopped before you cross the line. your considered busted. I think this game takes a lot more organization. Its one thats really best to find a group on the forum to play. It does sound neat though, at least the group that I had seen on here. They have a whole ranking system and most wanted lists and what not.

Bahaha, I know the ring really, really well too. And race it often with the time set to 2200, but it doesnt matter how good, I think me a diabolic pulled away so much because it was the first time most of us has played it. I don't think we would have done so well in our second outing as cat and mouse. At the end, we just got some lucky breaks. Cause Zero and Bowler were all over me. I mean, even if I was near the finish and everyone was near the start, two people can really but the stops on a car. I need a new wheel so I can program some look around buttons though.

I'm very familiar with ring as well. Each time I've won the sunday meeting event I've considered using the ring. In the end I don't in case otherz, including D2 now, aren't familiar. I love that its a front runner course, but that's also why allot of folks dislike it.

I only blocked you since I wasn't sure if you were coming back to help us out or had come to finish off the job that rally did

The main problem with using the ring within the league format is that it'd probably destroy any chance of us finishing with two hours. The only way would be if everyone did just one qualifying lap and then we went immediately into a 1-lap race. What really sucks is that in order to set a qualifying time, you've got to go all the way around the entire ring just to get the clock started! 👎

yeah, I agree, the ring works, but only for longer races. Qualify, takes 15 to 20 depending on the car. Then do 3 or 4 lap race. which should take about 40 minutes. Im not sure that many people have the patience to run that kind of race, especially on that track, it can be a frustrating track for someone who knows it, much worse for those who don't. Maybe we can slip into a practice night though for those who do so love the ring. I can do 10 laps and still wanna do more, especially with the caliber of racers we have.
