Download livery but lose the wheel colour if I change the wheel size/offset

So I do a content search, download a livery I like, then I go to set the custom parts and then I choose the wheel size and offsets. Its at this last step that things go awry. IF I vo into the "Wheels" section, the wheels that show on the car are NOT the ones that came with the dowloaded livery. If I change the rim width or offsets then the car's wheels will be those widths and offsets, but will no longer be the style and colour that they were when I downloaded the livery. The only way I can find to keep the style and colour that came with the livery, is to not adjust the rim size and offsets.

Is this a known bug? How do I keep the wheel style and colour that came with the downloaded livery if I need to change the wheel size and offset?

After loading the Style, you can go into the Livery Editor > Create From Existing Style, and then save the livery (should be possible even with locked styles). Then back out into GT Auto, change to the wheels you want, then load the livery you just saved and apply it. That should give you the wheels/offset you want while keeping the wheel paint.

It's a bit of a pain, but it's one of those Gran Turismo 7 game design moments.

My God. That's way too much hassle. I'll just live with the wheels being the wrong colour.

Thanks for confirming that it's not just me!
