@abm89 @MajorBlixem I bought Resident Evil 7 the other day. Highly recommend getting it. It will blow you away (and scare the crap out of you)
So I finally got my PSVR last night. It is pretty damn awesome. The first words out of my mouth when I was sitting in the GTR NISMO at Tsukuba were "holy S---, it's like im actually here!" Definitely was reaching out as if i could touch the car itself (the videos definitely don't do it justice).
I revisited some old combos from the endurance series wishing I could run VR in multiplayer. The ability to look through the corners like i would in my car on the track creates such an advantage. On top of that, the overall sensation of speed feels realistic too, so I'm not guessing on braking points or relying heavily on visual queues. I can almost go by feel.
The Showroom feature is pretty awesome by itself. Protip: start the viewing session sitting down, then stand up after you see the car. It's like you're at a cars and coffee viewing all of the details of the cars!
1v1 mode could use a harder difficulty or at least PVP. The computer is set to murder you on the start, but then goes really slow (typical GT3 owners at the track to be honest).
I felt only a little lightheaded starting out, mainly because my body was expecting motion and G forces, but I got used to it and was able to run VR for about 2 hours without issues. I will say, if you get motion sickness easily (i dont), ease into the session. The 3D depth will throw you off and takes some getting used to. Other than that, this is easily the best $200 i've spent on any gaming equipment.
The replay certainly doesn't do the 3D effect justice. In the Toyota MR2 I had to resist the urge to change the channel on the radio LOL. The detail even goes to the floor mats! I took the Aston Martin for a spin on Lake Miaggorie GP layout. I literally felt myself "falling forward" in my seat when I went down the steep hill at the back of the course.
The sound from the VR is amazing. If you put in those ear pieces you lose contact with the outside world. You are inside that car. I could feel myself leaning into those turns.
Maybe I'll take a look at Resident Evil.... it might be a bit more entertaining than Moss that came with the set!
Prize C selection:
The car that will be racing at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix is.....
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition (GR.3)
We’ll be using RH tires and lap times should be ~1:50.
Note- Be careful if you are buying the car from the brand central. There is a GR.4 version with the identical name right next to it for Cr. 350,000. So make sure it is the Cr. 450,000 GR.3 version.
