Zonda R at Le Sarthe is my suggestion 👍🏻

Edit: if that car is allowed..
Unfortunately it isn't allowed because it's above the cost cap of a million credits. Everything that is above a million credits or requires an invitation to buy is uneligible for SNAIL.

You can take a look at that spreadsheet, you can filter out the uneligible cars. Also a great tool to pick combos that were ran a long time or has never been raced.

Prize B pick: BMW M3 '03 (SS tires) @ Grand Valley - Highway 1 Reverse S03 Evening.
Mid div lap time: 2:10.
@Akzl298

Prize A suggestion: Honda S2000 '99 (SM Tires) @ Autodrome Lago Maggiore - East S09 Late Morning
Mid div lap time: 1:38.
Back up car: Toyota GR Yaris RZ ''High Performance'' '20.

Its such a shame that the S2000 is in the UCD because it is a delight to drive on SM tires and for one PD got the sound right. Great little car.

Suggestion for A:

Alfa Romeo 4C '14
SS
Blue Moon Bay Speedway - Infield A
S02 dry and pleasant with a few clouds
Evening

Porsche RSR (991) '17 at Circuit de Sarthe😎

Prize A suggestion: Honda S2000 '99 (SM Tires) @ Autodrome Lago Maggiore - East S09 Late Morning
Mid div lap time: 1:38.
Back up car: Toyota GR Yaris RZ ''High Performance'' '20.

@Nicktune above are your valid suggestions for prize A.

That looks like a fun session. Some of those guys had some hairy moments. Not sure I’d be pushing the limits like that on a track day. But you can definitely tell not many drivers check their mirrors very often. You had a habit of coming up on slower cars at precisely the wrong time :)

It was a points race, that's why some of them were going full send all the time. I was driving fairly hard, but the fastest laps are always rather boring to watch with the car staying planted and not getting upset. The rest of my class was back in the middle of the pack somewhere near 20th place overall. I started 9th and finished 4th overall, first in class. The cars around me all are in a much faster class and should be going 2+ seconds per lap faster, and in fact the leader of their class did just about that and got into the 59s.

It looks like a GT lobby full of randoms, so I totally get the trackday impression.

Yeah that’s crazy that some of those guys are qualified to race…but I guess technically anyone can do it.

The blue Miata behind you looked like a fun little battle. He got squirrely a couple times behind you but held it together very well. The reverse camera really makes the video :) Nice touch.

Speaking of lobbies, the BoP and tuning settings changed in the last update. I haven’t had a chance to open a lobby yet.
Does it change anything for SNAIL lobby settings?

That looks like a blast. Wish I could get some track time. Maybe someday.
You don't really need anything special to get started. You need a track nearby, and a car that has been maintained. An SA helmet can be had for under $350, and you can run just about any car at a trackday. No SUVs and certain tall and narrow vehicles. Depending upon where you are, some events like SCCA's Track Night in America run half day events for $2-300. Usually about an hour of on track time, maybe an hour and half.

I ran my winter beater 2004 Accord at Gridlife Watkins Glen this spring, because I didn't want to commit to bringing the race car that weekend as at may have snowed. And it did, a little. Rained every session, rivers across the track. Ran on my regular street tyres on the car, 400tw Hankook all seasons, and still lapped the field. Other than maintenance all I did was bleed the brakes out with ATE super 200(what was super blue but no longer blue in the US) and a set of Carbotech XP8 front pads. And even that was unnecessary given the rainy conditions.

Here's a shot going into T8 after I passed an STi. The standing water was so bad I was driving down the middle of the straights, hence the whacky line he's follwing me on.

Here I am giving the photographer a good shot heading into T9 while taking a friend (and gtplanet member/one time snail) for his first ride on track before setting him loose on the Novice HPDE group.

@Marcus Garvey they always say that rain is a great equalizer. It shows who is the better driver. Passing an STI in a 20 year old Accord on a track, awesome driving !
Thanks, I love driving in the rain, it's the "everything else" you are doing during the day when you aren't driving that isn't as fun in the rain. Checking the car, fluids, pressures, and generally hanging out isn't quite as nice. It's great seat time as everything your car does happens sooner, so you get somewhat amplified behaviours from the car; both good and bad. So it is always a great learning experience in every car. Once there is an amount of standing water, the advantages of certain things becomes diminished. At some point, good street tyres clear deep water better than even racing wets, soft springs load the tyre more progressively, and a heavy car loads the contact patch more. A stable car that is confident to drive, particularly a low power one, doesn't slow down as much as a fast powerful car in the rain.

Sorry for it kinda being last minute guys, but I probably won't be on tonight. Feeling sick, was hoping for it to go away but it's getting worse.

Can’t make it…got some family issues piling on us the last week.

Wife is in the hospital for surgery on Thursday and is still there in recovery. And wife’s sister passed away this morning after battling cirrhosis of the liver issues for the last 8yrs.

Catch you guys next week I hope.
Prayers for her family to get through the tough times.
