Niagara's Weekly "What I Saw" column.
241103 Edition:
8 drivers took to the grid in D1 and 6 drivers took the grid in D2 this past Sunday.
@racingchamp30 - Welcome back to D1, was fun racing with you again.
@JamCar0ne - I also very much enjoyed your combo. As somebody that invests about an hour into my liveries, it was fun working with a much different canvas that the Charger offered.
On that note, and not to beat a dead horse but voted Combo 1 out only because I know that under the current rules, a car from the UCD or LCD will always be a "One-N-Done". I'm a big fan of low car turnover from week to week. I would have loved to try the Charger on a different track. I think most of the active drivers on the Snail roster would agree with me and would prefer to have these rules modified.
Combo #1:
Again, thanks to
@JamCar0ne for stepping outside the box for this one. I picked this picture for the group shot because the background might as well be my hometown of Welland, Ontario. The building in the top right corner reminds me of the buildings that used to make up the Atlas Steel property from my youth.
@Nicktune leading
@Worst_Driver , myself and
@Xradkins early in C1R1.
We lapped Tsukuba 30 times over the two races. I bet I was either 1.5 seconds ahead or 1.5 seconds behind
@Xradkins for 22 of them.
One more group shot to highlight
@Kgffy 's barn-find livery.
Combo #2:
Week #2 for the Mustang and I enjoyed it at Laguna Seca. I'm happy to do it again next week.
@Xradkins was leading the field early in C2R1 but got it wrong at the corkscrew on this occasion. Several cars had mishaps at the corkscrew that slowed them down.
It might not be clear in this pic but I saw
@A_Higher_Place swallow a whole sausage and got away with it. Better to eat the whole thing than to just take a bite.
Combo #3:
Some action at SPA's chicane.
Newly promoted
@racingchamp30 doing very well holding off
@Worst_Driver and
@Nicktune at the start of lap 3.
in C3R2,
@Nicktune and
@Worst_Driver had a racing incident and being the professionals that they are, they work together to get themselves back into the action.
That's how I interpreted last Sunday. Thanks for your patience.
See you at the Car-Show.
