Tested using a '14 Vette which did have full power after an oil change. Ran 3 races online, each about 10 minutes in duration, and there was no HP loss when checked. Only thing that looks unusual is that the mileage in the garage (60miles) didn't match the mileage on the odometer (96 miles).

Therefore, to me, it looks like we do not have to break in cars for Sunday races and the cars will also be at full power towards the end of the reverse grid race- in case someone was worried like I was.

Pretty sure the odometer is in kilo's

Do you guys do any events on weeknights from around 8pm - 11pm pacific time?

Your avatar.... so true

Do larger rims affect handling and gearing in GT6? I was able to get in a tuning prohibited race with 2" larger than stock rims.

I am trying to get back on the grid on GT6. What do I need to do?

We would love to have you back in the league. Here's what you need to know and do in order to rejoin:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information.

3. @kcheeb PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. kcheeb will add you to the drivers list.

4. The Race Director or Primary Host from the corresponding SNAIL Division will send you a PSN friend request. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_1, 2, 3, 4 or 5' based off your placement from kcheeb. That lobby will be where you race Sunday

5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.

Welcome back to S.N.A.I.L.

I do not think so. Also I did a test removing a spoiler from one of the new Subaru STIs and did a top speed run and it made no difference. It topped out at an identical 174mph. I have not tried to enter a tuning prohibited room with it but I think it is a purely cosmetic change. Would be good to get a technical ruling on this.

Not sure. That would be why I actually included the quoted post. The youtube video, at least, should be viewable.

Would someone who is not a premium member let us know if you can view the pictures and posts?

Thanks.

Nope...I can't view those...it's says I don't have permission.

I can watch the youtube video.

Video either?

I've been running the Goodwood events tonight and have to say, on some cars the clutch and shifter action is much improved. The BMW in 2-1 was very nice to clutch shift with, the Lotus in 2-2, not so much. 2-3 and the Benz are flappy paddle or sequential only. Just finished 3-1 and that Audi shifts like a dream with the clutch. I kept effin up shifts and cussin' myself for doin' it, again. Took several times before I was almost satisfied with my time. There's more there, but I'd golded it earlier and then couldn't get a clean run. On to 3-2 and the Aston.

I couldn't join a spec room with a spoiler added

Well I beat the regular game. Other then the Special races. Kind've bummed I will have to do a complete reinstall to get every car, I actually might not do it. Kind've cheating, even though they charge money for credits now (which I actually paid due to frustration of not having enough credits to buy a decent car to beat the gt world championship with) so I guess they real you right in with it. In game my name is J.Rowlands. I am going to try to make some of the events during the week, but with my work schedule and everything else going on in my life, highly unlikely. I do look forward to seeing some of you on the track though!

Cheating? LoL only person cheating is Sony and PD. Their cheating us of a complete game. Cheating us of hard earned money. Their cheating a loyal fan base. All bets were off when they decided micro transactions would cost nearly 7k dollars to purchase the game content.

You have beat the game and are ok that your still broke. You don't feel cheated?

Well looks like my TT attempts won't be happening. Game froze doing an offline race. Had to quit game and now this crap. Jesus can we release anything closer to a beta copy?

I have had the same issue with the current update also. I'm just not going to fiddle with it.

Good evening folks.

I am looking at perhaps completing your division placement Time Trial.

I have a couple of questions, or rather requests for clarification regarding the TT instructions. The instructions do not specify a setting for SRF, which I would assume is to be turned off; but I would like to be certain. As well, there is no instruction for the course settings. The default grip level is set on 'Low' when I enter the TT menu, however once again I would assume that the grip level was intended to be set at 'Real' instead given the type of racing this group hosts. However, I hate to assume, especially when those variables would alter the data and render comparing different drivers invalid. I have included a copy of the test intructional text from the TT form for convenience.

Arcade Mode: Single Player
Time Trial
World Circuits
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
Use a Courtesy Car
Scion FR-S '12
Pick a Color
Select Transmission Type
Go to Driving Options and change Traction Control to 0
Use the default tire compound Sports Hard
Click 'Start' and run about 10-15 laps

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Marcus

Hey Marcus,

When we put this together the intention was to make it as foolproof as possible, thanks for poking holes in it

We want the time trial to be as close to S.N.A.I.L. racing as possible. To that end we should have included all the other settings specifically, instead of relying on the defaults, apologies.

Here's how the instructions should have read:

Driving Options:

Driving Line - Off
Active Steering - Off
Traction Control - 0
Active Stability Management - Off
ABS - your choice (S.N.A.I.L.s typically run 1)
Controller Steering Sensitivity - your choice

Course Settings:

Grip Reduction on Wet Track/Track Edge - Real

That said, if I can get some feedback from the S.N.A.I.L.s that have run the Time Trial. Which setting for Grip Reduction on Wet Track/Track Edge did you use, Real or Low?

Thanks

EDIT: For what it's worth I didn't notice a difference in Real or Low. But, I have edited the form with the instructions as above.

Who's getting excited for S.N.A.I.L. keychains? All cut and ready to be finished. Then off to powder coater.

Customer resourced me to do a Star Trek Wall Art. While I had the design handy. Resized it and cut a couple keychains/ ornaments. Whatever they want to use them for. LoL
