No. You can't ignore it because it COULD make changes to the racing in one room and not in another. It's also really not that hard to change a couple of setting when making the room. If might add a whole 5 seconds to the time it takes to do it. 5 extra seconds is not a mountain by any means and it's worth it to ensure our racing conditions across the board. If you would have read what I have posted and reported, you would know that sometimes these weather and time settings get carried over from room to room by the host (maybe you just missed that little tidbit, there was a mountain of text around it:boggled:). With this being the case, it would just be common sense to force the host to set it up correctly and not rely on PD to reset something every time.
Those 5 seconds are not the mountain I was referring to, this discussion is.
Are hosts not creating new rooms when they open them up for Sunday's racing? Where are these settings being carried over from?
I like the idea of setting a standard up, and it looks to me like your desired standard is the default I've always encountered anyway.
Since we seem to arguing with each other from the same side of the fence, I'm just going to put my shovel away and leave the molehill where I found it.

Can we change the rims on the cars for the picks?

In some of the images posted from races i saw non stock rims, was just wandering.
Yep, you sure can change the rims. And paint them too. There once was a bug that messed up cars that had staggered rims, which is why they weren't being changed, but I believe update 1.04 or one of the hotfixs took care of that bug.

I'm so angry right now because this is the best lineup I have seen in months and I am going to be so busy working (not a bad thing when I need to pay the mortgage) that I won't be able to practice until I open the room for hosting Sunday night.

Dammit!

Yep, it would seem that we are after the same end goal. Some kind of standard set up that follows the precedent set by S.N.A.I.L. so far and that is we don't do weather or time.

To answer the question, yes the hosts should be setting up new rooms, but I was able to change the time progression setting in one room, close that room, create another room and have the time progression settings carry over. It didn't do it every time but it did occur on occasion. Once again, thank you to PD for not being able execute simple programming.

We have both versions of Spa. We are done talking about Spa. We will be using the version without time or weather for Sunday night. We are now talking about every other track in the game that only has a version with time or weather changeability.

Thank you. That was my only question and I appreciate it being answered and I hope you can appreciate my confusion only arose because I got a different response earlier.

I have a practice room up at the moment.

New driver here. I'd like to join you guys this Sunday.

Skils will be along shortly with the official welcome message complete with instructions for joining officially. That name looks quite familiar to me but I can't seem to place exactly where I know it from at the moment.

@msgt-sd,
Thanks for your interest!
We would love to have you in the league. Here's what you need to know and do in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by 23:59 EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.

3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.

4. The Race Director or Primary Host from the corresponding SNAIL Division will send you a PSN friend request. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_(x) based off your Division placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.

5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.

Welcome to S.N.A.I.L.

I think it's too short. Should be two hours.
Sorry for the delayed reply, but what format would you suggest to fill two hours? Were you wanting to randomly pick another car for the second hour, or did you just want to use the same car for the full two hours?

I kinda like the quick format, but I'd cool with two hours if that's what the majority wants. I recall Goat saying that he liked the one hour format because banging gears is more rigorous, but you two are the only guys that have stated a preference either way. I'd love to hear more feedback from others on this! :)

That reminds me.. @Chiochan, any chance you can create a gif of the Mystic cars like you did for the kart series? That thing looks so freakin' sweet! :D

I felt like doing just one hour was too short, but it doesn't have to be two full hours. Maybe we could pick another random car and then a 15-20 minute qualifier. Learn while you qualify. We could do that for both races, actually. Any way we race it'll be fun, and it's your series, so you get to make the call.
