Nice car @lousteezy, my favorite era of car. As prevalent as 80s cars where when I started driving, it seems the crushers have been doing their work, cause it is getting harder and harder to find parts for a lot of these older machines. I have an 85 1st gen Rx7, and parts just keeping going up in cost and rarity. I'm sure its the same for that Toyota. Great car though. Not sure how old you are, but trust me when I say, never let her go. I sold my first rx7 and still regret it nearly 15 years later. I love the one I have now, but my first.... I will never forget her....

Yeah Rally, I live next to a guy who has a street-ported SA and a KP61 and they are AMAZING!! I love older cars

Thanks for your interest!
We would love to have you in the league. Here's what you need to know and do in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by 23:59 EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.

3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.

4. The Race Director or Primary Host from the corresponding SNAIL Division will send you a PSN friend request. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_(x) based off your Division placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.

5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.

Welcome to S.N.A.I.L.

Thanks for the info.

I want to thank @AJKVail and @chatva for their help last night. Helped me with some much needed knowledge of racing in groups. @AJKVail, you really know how to make it fun.

THANKS @chatva and @AJKVail !!!
I want to second this and add @Drgreenthumb977. Fantastic practice last night!

Hats off to all the drivers that showed up in what I thought was the fun room!👍 Fast, then faster, very clean, very respectful and just flat out race craft model drivers each and every one of you!👍 You drivers showed what S.N.A.I.L. racing is all about! Thanks for all the fun!!

It is 10 minutes to the deadline to make a suggestion for a track to replace Ascari and so far there is one suggestion. I am going to extend the deadline by 30 minutes to 5:30 PM ET. The following drivers are eligible to make a suggestion for a track. So far, Deep Forest (forward) is the only suggestion out there.

Sorry, I was too busy this week to check the forum and never saw this post. If I would have gotten it in my inbox, I would have seen it.

No worries though. I approve of the selections :)

Thanks for the info. I can not open the (Time Trial) link though.

Just tried it. The link is working for me.

That's why I tagged you in the post.

Is anyone interested in some Mystic Racing tonight??? Please reply to this post if you. If there's enough interest, I'll set up a room at 10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific. These "mystic" sessions only last an hour, so there's minimal time commitment! Give it a try! :)

I'm up for it tonight

I finally did it guys. Ordered my G27 just now should have it by thursday. I am curious though, should I start racing with my division with the wheel as soon as possible? or practice a week or so? I just don't wanna be dropped down to part time driver since i didn't make it to one of the previous races this season.

I could be down, I've been looking for an excuse to spend the time to mount my new shifter on the rig ;)
I'll do my best to be there.
id love to join and watch tonight if the room isnt full. Im currently still clicking my dfgt seq shifter.
Interesting, I'll be there.
I'm up for it tonight
Hey Guys, I made a time zone error in my post this morning. The usual time we've been doing Mystic Racing has actually been 11pm Eastern / 8pm Pacific. If you guys can wait until the usual time, then great. If not, just start without me and I'll join in late. Sorry for the confusion, but please post your intentions either way.

I'll do some mystic racing tonight! How do I join?
That's the beauty of it. You don't need to do anything to join other than join the room number that I post. There's no cars to buy or oil to change. There's nothing to practice either since nobody knows what car or track we'll be racing until the event starts. This event is all about casual racing and having fun bangin' gears with your fellow SNAILs. :)

What is this mystic race of which you speak? If it involves driving a car on a track in a rigorous and fast manner, count me in.

@RinnFah I know last night you said you like using the clutch and gearshift. You should check out Mystic as you must use the clutch:)

I'm ok to start at 11 eastern. Gotta dust off the ol' clutch pedal and make sure it still works. :ill:

Well I think the picture above says it all. Someone in a server room somewhere just tripped over a cord on their way to their break and the next thing you know a bunch of snails are heading to the boiling pot. I'll be the first to admit that I love me some back country, old school Portuguese escargot with a side of beer, but I wasn't in the mood for it that night. In the end most of us do what we do best and persevere. Whether it's for the game, the challenge, the friends or even some OCD I don't know, but I have a feeling that because we are S.N.A.I.L we will always take the bad with the good and keep on racin'

Congrats to @chuyler1 for taking the win for the night! 👍

Full data set can be found here.

I have reviewed all incident reports for 23 March 2014.

Click here for all the details! I just got back home and see that nobody's opened up a room yet so we'll be starting at 11pm Easters / 8pm Pacific. In other words, I'll be posting the room number in 25 minutes. :D
