Fierce tight competition on D3 last night. Cograts to DW on his overall win.

Yes indeed. With the initial connection issues we ran into I was worried we wouldn't get to finish all races but it worked out well in the end. D3 is quite well balanced and it was great that going into the last race a number of drivers had a chance to grab the overall win.

Well done to all but especially Dragonwhisky for that overall win. He needed to finish 5 positions ahead of the table leader going into the last race and managed to finish 6 positions ahead. Good job!

It was certainly a good night overall. Had some good battles with various drivers. Everyone seemed to be doing their best to avoid contact and shortcuts and outside of the starting pains, and a couple DCs, the night went smooth.

I can't take full credit for the overall win. I had help from more than one driver. As balanced as D3 appeared to be last night, there were a number of drivers that could have taken it.

Thanks to everyone in D3 specifically and SNAIL in general. It was one of the most tense racing I've had since first starting online racing and my first races with SNAIL.

Upon further review, I must give credit where credit is due. @Mirado_7 was truly brilliant last night. He finished 2nd overall with 74 point....in 5 races, winning 3. He disconnected along with @singlepaddy at the start of qualifying. The same time I had a loading screen error.

Excellent job out there!

Does one get last place points if they disco in the qualifier?

The night should have been mine until another car lag shunted my car into the grass/wall on the long left hander. Put me from 4th to 8th in a jiffy. No one's fault per se...but very irritating to have the win taken away due to no fault of my own.

Good racing for the most part by everyone though!

Ahh I see, that was very unfortunate. Lag took me out too in the same race but not with the same dire consequences.

The sheets have been copied from the Directors Doc to the Results Doc. Please enter the data from last nights races in the Results Doc.

D7 seems to be a little short on results, it appears only the first two races are in the sheet. Please enter the results for D7 in the Directors Doc and let me know when it's done so I can copy it over again.

Thanks.

that would be @elsbury2. also we need new data specialist for d7 since tevesh hasnt been on in forever

I've asked this very question in the past and it was explained to me that you must start on the grid in order to get a point.
A supreme bummer...I'll just have to practice even harder this week. Not even PD will keep me down!
Great racing from everyone in D6 last night!

I finally figured it out and awesome night with d4 great racers and got my second overall win had lots of fun
Well, D4 was a blast last night. Floyd, you may even be D3 material if you keep at the head of our pack that consistently. And kudos for racing clean in the reverse grids, from what I saw. I've gotta get some pointers from you on a couple of these tracks. I did pretty terrible last night - did okay at Deep Forest, just plain slow at Tsukuba, and then at Apricot Hill I went off on the first race (on my own), and got bumped into the sand on the second go-round. I guess it's time to start practicing mid-week again instead of just the hour before race night.

Here's some bad racecraft.

Maldonado blames Gutierrez.

http://motorsportstalk.nbcsports.co...ames-gutierrez-for-leaving-him-nowhere-to-go/

Looks like Gutierrez does turn in a little late, but Maldonado was going way too fast to try and take the inside line, and he didn't have overlap either.

I could have sworn you get last place points for a DC in qualifying.

I think you're right.

Like I said above, I asked the question to a higher level member of TEAM S.N.A.I.L. and he told me that you have to start on the grid to get any points for the race. I asked him because this happened to me a couple weeks ago in Round 3. I was running in 1st during qualifying, then disconnected from the room, so naturally I wanted to know if I should receive points for that race. I didn't give myself points, since I didn't start. Then I clarified it later as well.

IDK what to tell you, a League Director got disconnected in qualifying last night and he got last place points.

I don't know who you asked but they gave you the wrong answer. If you start the qualifying, you get credit for starting race 1 of a combo and would get last place points just as if you had DC's during the race.

@JLBowler can you clarify this issue?

Issue clarified.

Thank you!

Not to mention Maldonado was coming out of the pits. He should know better. Coming out of the pits, into a driver's blind spot... Gutierrez had about 0 chance of even knowing he was there, let alone that Pastor would attempt a dumb move like that. I'm glad the stewards came down hard on him.

As @nmcp1 alluded to, my racing was interrupted last night when the fire alarms in my dorm went off. We were all evacuated and I noticed there was definitely some smoke in the halls. Two fire trucks and 5 police cars showed up.

Turns out, some (insert expletive here) tried to boil water, on the stove, in a PLASTIC BOWL!!!

This is an engineering school. That person should automatically fail.

I have an issue that is definitely bothering me now. Is there any sort of qualifying bug? Since GT6 started that I have no idea what is qualifying above 6th position! Even when I was on D4 ending up winning the division, I was always at the back of the grid on race 1 of any combo!
As an exemple, I qualified dead last with the Lancia last night and ended up winning the second race giving no chances to the competition. Do I sleep walk during qualifying laps? I don't get it!

I despise Maldonado, since blaming Williams for "sabotaging" his car last year, he's shown to be nothing more than a sub par driver out of his league, the only reason teams take him is because of his Venezuelan money backing, which is shady by itself.
