Looking at those prices had me like................

The ECCI Trackstar 7000 wheel on that cockpit setup makes a T500RS or Fanatec CSW look like a toy. It is an extreme piece of hardware, and most are probably not hardcore enough to use one.

That's awesome Doug. I'd love to see your footage from this. And give us your true assessment of the set up. Maybe I could swing picking one of these up. Just need to cash in some of my 401k :) lol

@Smokiegun

Here's your official S.N.A.I.L. Welcome Post!

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by 23:59 EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.

3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.

4. Send a PSN friend request to the Race Director or Primary Host from your assigned SNAIL Division. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_(x) based off your Division placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.

5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.
If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to S.N.A.I.L. :cheers:

Not near a computer at the moment but have a look back a page for a welcome post. I'll get yours out in about an hour when I get home. Tried doing it from the phone but it's just about impossible.

@jpe138083
@Travisorus
@GranStand Bill
Jobyone
@gmraces
@GTP_SniperWolph - New Racer
@tezgm99
@ZMalinowski - New Racer
@Ryan F
@JoeH187
Yes - @RodeRuner1967
@RealDeal - New Racer

Hey Guys I would love to get a yes or no from all of you to get an idea about numbers for Sunday. We are also going to need a host for Sunday as I will once again not be making it:(

Ok here it is. I know some people were hoping for the Vision VW, but I just don't think the car has enough gear in the draft at Daytona.

So my pick is the Subaru IMPREZA Touring Car.
You can paint and number also.

So there it is, looking forward to everyone's opinion... But you know what they say about opinions right!!!:lol:
Great car! I love the handling! But...... You say this has more speed than the VW? The top speed is 30mph slower

The ECCI Trackstar 7000 wheel on that cockpit setup makes a T500RS or Fanatec CSW look like a toy. It is an extreme piece of hardware, and most are probably not hardcore enough to use one.

Yeah the trackstar 7000 puts any wheel to shame it' was simply the best wheel on the planet!!!!

Well I just got home ended up staying way later then I thought I would :) who wouldn't rite!!!
My overall experience was a ****in blast what a crazy setup this thing got all the latest and greatest
Sim racing gear us guys could only dream about owning, this thing by far the best simulation I've ever
Had the chance to race on from the wheel to the Todd cannon peddles and the full motion I felt was spot on
What a real car would felt like the setup I was on will cost you 60k its the full motion setup

so I got there around 12 didn't end up leaving till around 7 lol so after about 20 min on
The rig a crowd had gathered and come to find out these were some private owners of the vgt sim and prospective buyers & race team owners and they threw out Jokes how they would pay to have me teach them how to get up to speed so the rep get to talking and there looking into How they could make that happen crazy rite! So few more people come into the show room and by this time the rep is having me instructor the prospective buyers into what to do and what not todo how to go fast ECT felt like I was already working for them lol

Also I was invited to come back in a week to check out there head quarters
To check out how everything is made ECT also!!!!! The where they have there main rigs setup is at GMG racing facility
That manages team GMG Audi and he said that there pro drivers acutely uses the vgt simulator to prep on the off season and there going to fit me in to get some time with the GMG guys and race director to hopefully better my chances at national/silverstone when I heard this i was shock like really all this for me,,, all I did was ask to come down and test drive the simulator then all these other option were thrown my way I was so great full!! So we got to talking about me making it into gt academy and then all these other options stared being offered I was so shocked :) :) :)

So at the end of the day I got around 3.5hours on the rig off and on
Also don't be afraid to ask to try something in life the worse they could say is
No you didn't gain noting but at least you asked for me it payed off 10x. Fold

The wheel on this rig is trackstar7000 the peddles were Todd cannons
And of course triple screen thin edge also full motion was so cool!
The sim it was on is Iracing and Rfactor should be heading back to headquarters
And GMG racing facility in a week will have another update :P

I think you misunderstand what I was saying. If you go back and read my post I did not actually say the VW was faster than the Subaru.
There is no doubt the VW is faster....I just didn't think it had a tall enough gear. By the time it got to the end of straightaway it was hitting the redline. So I was worried that when drafting another car it would hit the rev limiter.
Whereas with the Subaru although not as fast, still had plenty of top end (or taller gear if you will) even when in the draft.

Maybe the the VW would have been fine, but I didn't want to chance it.
Hope this clears it up for you...Cheers!!!

May I suggest a future Combo?
The Senna F-3 at one of the Red Bull Tracks. Was running the full track just now with Hooker - what a pleasure.
Hope someone will consider it.
