30% is overcast 50% will be really overcast/sprinkles. Changability makes the weather change faster. But it will also wet or dry the track faster as well. There is never any way to guarantee weather.

AWSOME!!! Man, you picked a clean ride! Glad to see you got into something before the end of the season. Don't expect as many runs with the SCCA group. My experience has been that you get 4 runs. I think some area's had fun runs after, but never at an event I attended. Classing kinda sucks too. There is a chance being in a porsche you will have competition in your class, but I had to moddify my Rx7 to fit a class that actually had people to race against at the event.
You need to get a camera strapped into that thing, get us some action video.

SCCA offers only 4 runs but how long is each run??? The PCA offers 8 practice runs and 4 final runs and the course is about 70-90 seconds long.

It depends on the region, I guess. I'm in the Finger Lakes Region and I did 4 SCCA autocross events this summer and had 6 runs at 3 of them and 5 at another. The only reason we had 5 is because there was a delay getting the timing set up. None of the events had fun runs however. We usually had 90+ drivers, with the max at 115. We split into 3 run groups, with 3 AM runs and 2-3 PM runs.

Nice! Maybe we had constraints at the lot we used, or maybe the people running it were lazy sob's, IDK. I raced at Cohen Stadium in El Paso under the PanAm region I think we averaged 30, 35 racers, broken into two groups, each group would run 4 laps. We usually finished by 1-1:30. Of course, temps may also play a role in that, as it would generally be tipping 100 by that point.

In SCCA, depending on the region and the event I've done everything between 3 and 12 runs in a day. Typically based on the number of entrants. Also the lot size usually has the most to do with length of runs. My home region usually do 8 runs. We have small lots so courses tend to be between 30 and 40 seconds.

Thank you. does the 30% weather stay that way or does that change? Just trying to understand this and I appreciate the help.

It does change once the race starts. Like I said the only time you will know what the weather will do is in the first 5 seconds of the race.

To all Replay Uploaders, Backups, Fill-in or otherwise

The folder structure was reworked last weekend to better organize the replay collection that has accumulated over the last couple of years. Some of you may have already noticed this and placed your replays in those Year and Month folders. While that's where those replays will end up, I would rather the current season's replays remain in the Division's Parent folder (or top level if you prefer) to allow for easier locating. At the beginning of the new season, all the previous season's replays will be moved to their appropriate year and month folders.

The public replay folder remains as it was. If replays are uploaded there, we will move them to their respective folders at a later date.

Thank you for your cooperation.
