After last week's enormous bad luck where I got caught in every wreck possible, last night was just the opposite as I manage to gain important positions by passing through mayems unhurt.
Two wins and no reasons for complaining is good.
Did anyone else felt dizzy after combo 1 races?
I felt sick in the stomach!!! Too much turn, turn, turn.

I needed a puke bag after each race... but was able to come up with a 2nd on the reverse grid..

It's SNAIL's 3 yr anniversary and we were in need of a new video promo to show off this wonderful racing league and in honor of our members hard work both on and off the track I present to you a brand new SNAIL Spec Racing League video promo.

Awesome video!
I have reposted it in the G+ Gran Turismo and GTP Forums.

Getting DC'd in c1r1 came with its blessings, but I woulda rather raced both. I really think I could've earned more points without a pole win. Still performed better than last week so I'm happy with that. Need to work on racing slower traffic though.

Can someone explain: last night just before the start of Q3 my PS3 froze up. I had to do the hard reboot. When i finally came back into the room the qually was under way, followed by the race.

Now, here is the question: why was I able to download the replay and view the full race results, including the qually results if i joined the room after qually has started. Usually you cannot do that, I think.

Did you spectate the entire race? Doesn't really matter. You got loaded into the room before the actual race started. Qualification sessions are not recorded in any way that I know of for future review. Races all are. As long as you're there for the beginning of the race and maintain connectivity throughout finish and replay save, you will be able to replay that race.

Alright guys. Lets get some GD mice into a GD plane! and by plane, I mean track!!!! This Tuesday, 8pm EST, you are all requested to join me in a thrilling game of Cat and Mouse. Participation guarantees citizenship! For those unawares, Cat and Mouse is a thrilling team based game of bash the slow car, or escape the fast cars, depending on your seat. Since we can no longer select cars from the recommended list like we could in GT5, I will be creating a small list of usable rides, but expect the Cat to be around 450pp and the mouse around 300. Teams will, as usual, be picked by the order of a no holds barred single lap death match race. I know how important some of you find practicing, but just as important is taking the time the enjoy yourself, your life, your friends and mayhem. This is your chance to kick back, and not take things so seriously, which is starting to manifest itself in ugly ways on the thread. So join me Tuesday in kick back and breaking some cars! Be there, or be square, or round, or an obtuse triangle, anything but cool!

D3 Director's Report
After having a full grid the last 2 Sundays; last night we only filled up to the 11th spot and some of the usual racers were missed @sprintr64 @intoflatlines @SGETI and the birthday boy @Dragonwhisky.

@gtr3123 found a sweet spot with the Capp and got himself a pole and a win for round 1. Reverse grid of round 1 is where most of the passing was made for this combo; but not without some scratches to many doors; but everyone survived it.

Miss Elise made her second appearance now to Twin Ring Motegi RC; but still as temperamental as ever. @MartinJohn88 captured an impressive pole with Elise, but was not able to hold on to 1st as @gtr3123 made his move early in lap 1 and no one could stop him from there. I very innocently pushed Miss Elise to hard at the Ss and spun around and blow a nice 3rd place podium (Elise slapped me again!) However, on the reverse grid, I pampered her all around and gave me my 1st win in D3 since returning.

Combo 3 was probably the most exciting for the whole field. Lap 1 saw quite a mess after 130R and some wheels going wide and collecting a few as the dust and smoke arose. The reverse grid was as exciting as the first one and @Rednose58 took the win from the pole. Superb driving from @gtr3123 finishing 4th(?) and @motzkopf giving me quite the pressure for 3 laps.

Only 2 drivers suffered discos one returning on time and 1 missing qualy and 1 race :odd::rolleyes:. However, most of the night was Lag free and pretty smooth. Overall it was a great night for D3 The International Division :gtpflag:

I caused a mighty crash at 130R! Once I was over the dissapointment, it was quite a splendid crash. Sorry for the guys I collected along the way!

Next time i'll open the steering out if I go wide (which i usually do!) Dunno why I thought I could hold onto it and keep it straight!

Ha ha :D I thought I was going to be able to squeeze through and just got clipped enough to send me to the wall bouncing. The replay is probably very picture worthy. Seems that the car is never again the same after such a mess; it took me almost a lap before I got grip again.

Yeah man, I really struggled after, went off loooooads. 2nd race I went off about 6 times before I decided to just park it...really demoralising constantly spinning out when you are already dead last! Voted for it in a rage before I left! Haha.

I have also found grip to be less than optimal after an off. Seems to take a couple turns to get it back again. I don't know if it's my head but it seems pretty consistent.

It's the dirty tire effect. It's not your imagination.

As @Mini Stiggy said, dirty tires. You'll notice it more with racing tires than you will with sports tires, but to prevent another off, it's safe to brake slightly earlier, and maybe shift down a gear for the next 2 corners to scrub off that dirt. If you want a visual representation, hop in one of the open wheel race cars and drive into the grass and dirt in the cockpit view. You'll see the dirt build up, and after you rejoin and scrub it off, the tires will go dark and black again.

Yes you can post it an
