I'm done for the night!!!
Sorry all your hard work was for not... It would have been fun.:confused:
I saw you lag into turn 3 when I "followed" you up the hill then you jumped to the low side!

Wednesday night best for me.
Out of town next Saturday.
But you do what is best for everyone

You and I both know if he had scored the winning touch down his comment would be,

I'M ONLY HERE SO I DON'T GET FINED

Agree, why did they try a pass?

Why did they try a pass? The play they called is about 99% effective. The idea of the play is to have the outside receiver run a slant underneath the inside receiver and his defender. It's a very simple play and there really isn't a great way to defend it unless you do what the Patriots did on that play. The corner on the inside receiver held him to keep him from getting his break to the inside to create the traffic jam for the corner on the outside receiver. This allowed the corner on the outside receiver to come over the top of the WR and the corner who was holding him. He doesn't get over the top or anywhere near the football if the inside receiver isn't held. The next thing that happens is that the corner goes through the receivers shoulder to get to the football. Both of these acts by the Patriot DB's are penalties. I know it's hard to throw a flag in that spot but when you have two penalties that directly effect the outcome of a play, any play at any time in the game, you have to throw the flag as an official.

I should throw in my disclaimer here, I am not a fan of either team involved. I am an official for many sports and have a better than average understanding of the rules and the training that officials receive.

Well, now that the game is over.

A few of us have been working for several months now on this project, one more so than others. For most, it may not seem like much but, if we were to count the lines of code he's written to bring the front end to the state it's in and allow the back end to enjoy a scalability and ease of use we will enjoy, it would be well over 1000 lines.

Without further ado, well, maybe some, I give you the newest iteration of what was formerly called SNAIL Results - New and is now called;

SNAILData.png

Everyone should be able to view the "document" by clicking the above banner, but, only those active drivers also serving as Data Specialists will be able to edit the Divisional Tabs. At present, there are none in the sheet. When racing is completed on the 8th of February, there will be.

If you had the old Results file bookmarked, that file is no longer active and has been archived here, with the rest of the results recorded to date. That will also be the location of all future SNAIL Data archives. You may wish to edit your bookmark with the link under the banner above.

Here's to years more with the partnerships developed by the following organizations;

SNAIL would not be where it is, without their contributions.

if you have a player that pretty much that is known for getting through a pack and gaining yardage why not give him the ball. they were only on 2nd down and that could've easily been ran in.

On 2nd down you probably have two pays called when you get to the line. The play they ran if they liked the look they got and a running play if NE was playing zone with 7 in the box. They got man coverage and that is exactly what they are looking for with that play call.

If they run it on 2nd down and don't get in you have to burn your last timeout and then you are in a must throw situation on 3rd down and everyone knows it.

Good coaches are usually two to three plays ahead in their thinking and it's easy to sit on the couch and say what a terrible call it was. If it works like it does the vast majority of the time, it's an easy TD and nobody questions the play call. I would actually be more critical of the Seahawks letting the play clock run down twice with the clock stopped and burning two timeouts. If they have those timeouts at the end of the game, the option to run the ball and use a timeout is there.

Isn't this the most evil vehicle in the world when your almost done shoveling your drive way!?!

This is a good example of what I call "throw some 🤬 in the thread because I got nothing better to do.
Then, when I mentioned the silence at the end of the " american sniper" movie I was only referring to that particular situation that really touched me. I never asked you to transform my post into an useless ideologic battle about the presence of US army in Iraq.
Sometimes you remind me a guy, azure flare, or whatever his name was, that was kindly invited to shut the hell up as most of the stuff he used to post was nothing more than useless crap to stir up even more useless confrontations.
K. My bad. Didn't mean to turn it into something it wasn't intended to become.

I havn't seen the movie, but I did read the book. The role of the sniper is not a glamourous profession, except for the soldier's lives saved by said sniper. It's not something I would want to do, that's for sure.

I consider him a hero, like I do all who serve, in any capacity. He had a tough job to do that he was extremely proficiant at doing. Just like the tanker, the appache pilot and the grunt on the ground, he did his job and was proud of it and in doing his job saved a lot of Coalition lives.

What a personal way to wage war though, I would bet every time he closed his eyes at night, he was visited by some of those targets.

Best sniper movie....Enemy at the Gates. Makes me want to move to Stalingrad in the winter.

Just got back from American Sniper in time for the second half of the SB..and I will not enter into the discussion because I might get HEATED .

A slow hand salute to all our service men and women who have been in harm's way..especially to those who actions saved the lives of their comrades.

In case you missed it. Here is the best Superbowl commercial ever. End of Story.

And here as Paul Harvey would say, is the rest of the story about that GREAT commercial.

They (officials) had been letting them play physical all night. And both players were going for the ball. The DB was definitely playing the ball. That was a tough call/no call, but I think it was the right one.
