From what I've read, GT6 B-Spec will not be like GT5 B-Spec. It sounds like it will not be much more hands on than it was in GT5.
lol yeah that's the point set it and forget it get him out front and go do the dishes especially since I can put him on X track now! go wash a sink of dishes then restart the race.

I think coach mistskingly added another "not" in there. The new spec will supposedly be MORE hands on.

Thanks @CoachMK21 I found some literature https://www.gtplanet.net/tag/b-spec/

I found this interesting from the interview with Kaz :

“In GT6, we’re planning to make it so that you can just switch within the same race to make it either A-Spec or B-Spec. There won’t be separate modes for A-Spec or B-Spec racing any more, the player can just choose to have it be an A-Spec or B-Spec race. So, people who really like to drive can just keep it in A-Spec.

“Among all the users of Gran Turismo, there are some guys who really have a hard time driving themselves (@Die_Birdy_Die ), but really like cars, and B-Spec will be a big part of the game for them.”

Yea, why do I often type a t instead of a w. Not even close to the same fingers typing...sorry. I meant, much more hands on now.

Wow, just wow.

it's still gran turismo I can put my b spec in the race in an over powering car and let him run but I guess we shall see where they take it too

So guys i have question about high beams (Flashing Lights). Are we allowed to flash our high beams at the cars in front of us to detract them during a race??? I mean I would think so seeing as they do it in real racing all the time.

If your talking Sunday racing you can't the lights won't effect day time driving as they don't turn on till dusk!

No.

It's not done in real racing just to distract the driver in front of you and if it ever was, i would bet you that the driver doing the flashing of the lights would be met by a very angry driver after the race was over. It is done to alert a slower (car not on the same lap or in the same class as you) of your presence. Since everyone racing on a Sunday night is in the same car, there are no car classes and the chances of someone being lapped are few and far between.

As far as SNAIL is concerned, it's poor sportsmanship and the driver doing the flashing could be subject to having an IR filed against them.

My personal opinion is that it's childish behavior and is right up there with honking your horn on the race track. There is no place for either of these actions while racing.

As i always understood flashing the lights to a driver ahead of you in night racing is to let the driver in front know you want to pass if you are faster than the driver in front, it's not made to distract drivers, just let them know the driver behind might want to pass if faster.
Or just to make them aware of your presence if you're having/starting a battle for position. I would do it leading up to a turn, before the braking point. This gives the ahead driver time to notice and then set up for the turn ahead.

If a driver is practicing situation awareness, he will already know you're there and be taking steps to either defend his position or give you room to race. Flashing lights or honking horns during SNAIL Sunday races is as JLBowler described it. Unsportsmanlike, childish and against the OLR.

If you watched the Blancpain Endurance series last season, particularly the longer races, like Spa 24 Hours, a lot of drivers flashed their lights at the driver they were chasing for position. It's meant to alert slower class cars, but it's a distraction tactic as well. In Sunday SNAIL racing, its unlikely to work, because at most, it makes their taillights reflect back at you a bit. As a distraction tactic, I don't see what's wrong with it. It's a way to try to get into your oppositions head, like throwing a dummy pass. If it's a SNAIL rule though, so be it.

but a great way to make money while doing the dishes!

What is this "wash dishing" activity you speak of? Is it some slang the kids are using these days to describe rebuilding a carburetor?
