If anyone wants help figuring out the Speed Six, feel free to join me if I'm in a Club lobby during the week. (or send me a message on here or PSN). I may also put up a low 1:14 replay demo if people are interested.

It's very much a slow in fast out, driver responsive car. Light weight with 50/50 weight balance, but with soft-ish suspension and good neutral steer when you get the braking and corner speed right. If you try to push the car too fast into corners or change direction too roughly it may get out of shape enough to slow you down some because of the street car body roll. Because of it's very neutral balance (slight understeer) It will understeer or oversteer depending on what you did wrong. The engine is amazing (almost 100hp per liter straight 6) and has a wonderful, wide power band, so you can use 3rd where you might think you need 2nd, and you never need 1st. It's manageable even in close quarters, but very challenging to be really fast in. It corners at 1.5g in most corners, but will still slip around a bit when you want it to.

I think it's one of the very best cars in GT6 for practicing basic technique for intermediate or advanced drivers.

I also got some action shots from the one replay I saved tonight. There were only 4 of us on track so there's only a couple with multiple cars in them.

ConnorWolf, @Falango, beatin_the_odds ( @Dacana?) and @oharagbr19 going into T1.

Didn't get to do any testing last night. Doing some this morning if anyone is around to help out with race sim.

Done testing for the morning and I've narrowed it to the Lexus LFA Nurburgring Package at either Monza, Red Bull Ring, or Brands Hatch Grand Prix 80's. I'd like to do some race testing tonight when I'm done work - around 9:30-10:00 EST

Unfortunately, I won't be around to help with the testing but you've picked a great car and a nice selection of tracks so I'm looking forward to this combo wherever it falls. 👍

I took these screen shots last week when Coach put his up. I never uploaded them because they were kinda blurry, but now everyone can see what can be lost if you don't back your game up to an external device. I'm starting to rebuild tonight, and frankly, find it all kind of funny now. Such is life. Hopefully I can earn enough credits to race this Sunday.

same thing happened to me. I even had mine backed up to an external drive. Something with a corrupt backup logger.

Ahh, Wednesday, waiting for the last combo :D

You don't have to wait.

One car, three tracks to practice on!

so it that going to make you faster? :dopey:
lol no just more predictable as I won't have to worry about my TV tray flipping out from under my wheel or the entire tray shifting from side to side when I'm doing agressive turning like threw any esses... HAY maybe it will... just maybe!

@CoachMK21 Is there a ROC this month?

This is the second time I've been asked this question, but first publicly, so I will give a public answer.

The Race of Champions is not being held for the February season. The reason for this is multifaceted. I will simply give a single issue with the RoC and then give more explanation.

  • There has been an increasingly large number of complaints concerning the RoC.
    • A lack of following the SNAIL OLR
    • A lack of general proper racing etiquette
The solution to the above problem is a complicated one. With this being a non-reward type event and little means to police the problem(s), I was faced with a challenge of fixing it. I reached out to several key members of SNAIL and received some outstanding feedback. Unfortunately, the feedback that was given and that I agreed with 100% is not feasible, in my opinion.

The suggestion was to treat the RoC more similar to how Formula 1 functions with regards to penalties. The premise was to cut down the field size to 12 drivers, which would leave an individual to live stream the races, two stewards and a dedicated host/steward. This would allow the three stewards to monitor the racing action and give an on the spot penalty if one was witnessed. The penalty could have been a 5 second stop, a drive through pit penalty, or another similar action.

I very much liked this suggestion, but implementing it was not very functional. Why is it not functional? For the simple reason of requiring 4 individuals to spend 90 minutes on a Friday evening to supervise the races. More so, to be equally consistent with regards to what constitutes a penalty for our purpose and what the penalty should be. I believe the penalty portion of this problem are workable. Find 4 folks to volunteer their time is a harder sell. Therefore, it was my decision to not organize the event for the February season.

If there is an individual or a group of individuals who want to take on the Race of Champions duties, please send me a PM and I'll see who we get to volunteer. My biggest concern is that the RoC was not exceeding the high standards on clean racing and proper race etiquette that should be found with the fastest Snails of the season.

I was just joking.. but heck you have been faster lately when I find you on track. I am sure it will help you with consistency which will yield better results.

I turned my steering settings back up to tens which helped with my times. And I knew you were joking I always make fun of my self it's something I've always done sort of comes with the territory of being small and a smart ass!

And if you do bring it back penalty's should be on full. No crying about it I think the one's that do make it are good enough to not worry about the penalty's. Stay on track like your supposed to and don't run over people you be just fine. It will police it for you
