H i SNAILs,
Been a busy couple of weeks and my lap times are a reflection of that :banghead::grumpy:🤬:irked::mad:but it all came to head on sunday when i had an abismal race night in my personal view, and on that note ENG's Mid Week Jams for d6,d7 and d8 drivers is officially back on from next week wednesday. I will keep you posted on times so keep your snail eyes out for ''MID WEEK JAM'' banners on main thread.. As usual honorary Orange Gurus will be @TomMang_68 and @USERID_77a23

On that BOMB SHELL I will be hosting my thursday night ''BANNER JAM'' practice sessions tonight in main lobby from 2300hrs GMT (+6HRS US EAST COAST I THINK)

Unfortunately no banners this weeek but expect some next week. Also I was thinking Since we are trying to get a shot to be used in combo banners this week I was thinking we all go for the same rim paint, and since its Earth Day i was thinking we all go for blue painted rims. So to the usual suspects @STEAMER62 @pubason @Warlooker (our newest member, who i had a very interesting battle for almost 3 laps in the ferrari withon race night in d7, he was clean, predictable and consistent, welcome to SNAIL) @vsfit @FlipJ and all the rest that i forgot,( You will get a mention next time:bowdown::cheers::gtpflag:) and all new mid to lower division drivers who are looking for a relaxed atmosphere to get to know SNAIL drivers then please join us.
I will be back to post room details but if in doubt go to open lobby from 2300GMT and look for ENG'S SNAIL BANNER JAM.

ps. . Blue is the color. ,Blue rims is not a must but will be appreciated more but if you really want to take it to the next level then blue, green and yellow in all shades are welcomed for body paint job but if can't be bothered then what ever body paint you wish is fine but let's try keep the blue rim theme.

for those of us who's inner geek is mightier than the racer here's a good read in my humble opinion

Sorry for not posting sooner. My choice for Prize A is as follows:

Car: Gran Turismo Racing Cart 125 Shifter

Track: Willow Springs - Streets of Willow
Every week...

You need to post an average lap time, the PP, and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

OR it could read.
Hey Beal, could you please post the average lap time, PP and HP (after oil change) of your selection?

Thanks, Nice pick

I got ya Beal,

PP622 (after oil)
HP 578
I was running 1:02's with it for around 20 laps

Of course I do have 62 laps with it at the Nord fastest lap attack, so I'm kinda partial to the car...it's one of the best cars in the heavy rain also.
I would be nice about it except it's happened the last week (or two) and I was the one to point it out then too.

I have had the privilege to pick the combo for Sunday night, don't remember it being policy that we had to post average lap times, I could be wrong, looking at page 1 and don't see anything. Nice combo cmbeal

While lap times are not officially required by SNAIL Management, it is for Rednose to start making the data banner and Falango (or whoever) is making Sunday banners. This bit is from the official SNAIL results:

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Sorry, here are the full details:

Prize A Selection:

Car: Gran Turismo Racing Kart 125 Shifter 49HP/ 582PP(Oil Change is greyed out for karts), Average Lap Time: 1:12

Track: Willow Springs International Raceway - Streets of Willow

I'm very far from the fastest driver, so I imagine there is quite a bit of time to knock off my average.

Great choice! That was one of my "If I ever get to choose..." Combos. Looking forward to it!

Somebody give @DesertPenguin09 a cookie. I wonder if @zer05ive has a jar of those? You know.. for those days when @Dragonwhisky writes an elaborate story about the clubs history, or when @JLBowler has to assign a dozen new members in one week along with timely greeting and direction from@nmcp1 , or @CoachMK21 does any of the ten thousand misc. things that need to be taken care of on a regular basis. Cuz you know... those guys certainly deserve at least a cookie for heaven's sake, especially since they don't make it a point to remind us of their good deeds and generally well received assistance...

I always try to think of something interesting the few times I've had a chance to pick. While I haven't driven carts a whole lot, I figured why not give this a chance. After a few laps I was completely sold on the combo. Streets of Willow never really struck me as a great track for racing as the track feels pretty narrow for normal sized cars. I don't think anything bigger than Kei cars and smaller hot hatches would be too much fun. Though they probably wouldn't be too much fun either with the limited power and the elevation changes.

BTW, did you happen to make it to the PCA meet in Hershey last Saturday? I don't remember seeing a 911 like yours, but then again there were a crazy amount of cars just like last year.

Some clarification on the kart.

1. Tires can not be changed so it will run on Sports Soft tires.
2. You can not change the oil in a kart. You can overhaul the engine and that will put the kart at 590 PP with 51 HP. These numbers are what the room should be set to for Sunday night.

Did not know that doing the overhaul would increase the power.
