everything looks good it just inserted that column so apparently the crack berry is only good for high res photos lol!
I'm sure there are better solutions for getting HD photos and vids than that pathetic excuse for a mobile device you call a crack berry. We have them here where I work and they are, for all practical purposes, universally hated. Just glad they don't want me to carry one.

I'm originally a city boy from Dublin but I now live in a small village called Gowran (pronounced Goran) which is probably best known in Ireland for its lovely race track, Gowran Park. Normally, the contestants are of the 1 horsepower variety but in July the Gowran Festival of Speed is going to be held there so the horsepower gathered together at the track will reach unprecedented levels. There's going to be a Formula 1 car doing demo runs and a large gathering of modern and historic rally cars including a number of Group B cars so it's something I'm really looking forward to.

On Friday evening last I was sent out to get some shopping and when I arrived home and got out of the car I could hear the scream of a number of cars and I could tell they were competition cars by the sound of the close ratio gear changing. So the groceries weren't even taken out of the car as I got straight back in to go investigate.

The race course is only a 1 minute drive down the road and as I approached with the windows down I could tell the that's where the racket was coming from so in I went and much to my delight this was the first thing I saw!

It was the official media launch of the upcoming festival and there were 4 cars giving demo runs. The Stratos, a Metro 6R4 an Opel Ascona and a lovely Mk1 Escort which is owned and regularly driven in historic rallies by Joe Connolly who also happens to be the Chairman of Gowran Park and and who is the driving force behind this event.

This is his Escort:

It doesn't look as dramatic as the Stratos but it is an animal to go and I made sure I blagged a couple of laps with Joe. So there I was thinking I was just going out for a bit of shopping and then to sit in and have a quiet night with a nice bottle of wine and all of a sudden there I am in the passenger seat of a rally car topping out at 105 mph along a very narrow piece of tarmac circulating a horse racing track with its BDG engine screaming up to 9,000 rpm! It just couldn't get any better than that.

The lads were taking footage all the time so they said they'd send me the video of my run but in the meantime here's a video taken by a guy who went out with Joe earlier in the evening.

I was the last out so we packed the car away and headed into the bar for a drink and a chat with all the gathered petrolheads so it was a nice unexpected surprise which was only interrupted when my wife rang me to ask where the hell I was! :lol:

Dang @turnupdaheat ,THAT WAS COOL!You are lucky Bro'.

Ahh @turnupdaheat, thank you sooo much for sharing that video with the SNAIL community 👍 , but I was wondering if the driver is sitting on the right place of the car, steering wheel on the right :confused: this really disturbed me lool :lol::lol::lol:

Well, It's been my experience that editing Google docs with mobile devices is an exercise in frustration and aggravation. Be careful with it when trundling around SNAIL Data.

Yes, in all the countries coloured blue in the map below the driver sits on the right side of the car and in all the countries coloured red he/she sits in the wrong side! :lol:

Doing anything on a mobile device that was originally done on a PC is always slower. Documents, spreadsheets, browsing, it's a hassle, a big one. For data entry, try to take pictures of the qualifying results, and race results. You get two opportunities to do that. After that, the only thing you need the replays and PS3 for, are best laps. Its much easier then to do on a computer if it's not near your TV.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't most of those countries in blue except for maybe Japan former British colonies? Which I think is where that "wrong" form of driving originated, right!!! :odd:

Yeah I won't be using it for data. I learned my lesson, but it works well for taking pictures for data. plus I can blow it up which helps too and I don't have to use a pen and paper so even for a piece of crap it still makes data quicker!

Ahhh SNAILers, now it makes 8 months I joined this awesome community, and last night I won my 1st race, can't tell you my feeling, often missed the first place but it has always been OK for me, because I wanna race and have fun with my buddies, but be sure, aahhhh, what a good stomac feeling I have loool

Question;
how many of you would like to do 220mph in a Viper in 5th gear with another gear for drafting on SARTHE without "chickens"? aka chicanes'.

2x Saarthe in one week? :nervous: Not my preference for originality, but... :dunce: I don't know much, according to some. :dunce: :dunce:

It will be what ya say. :cheers:

Heck, it is only a week-ish.... :gtpflag:

It is your prize, @chatva - thanks for asking, good luck as always. 👍

Emoticon check: :eek: ;) :) 💡 :mad: 🤬 :irked: :ill: :rolleyes: :scared: :sly: :banghead: :D :lol: :boggled: I am good.
Many liked Sarthe! some want fast and well!
slowing down is a bitch but, gotta plan ahead! any way just threw that out there.

I'm test two;
1) Viper GTS '02
2) STR Viper SRT 10 ACR '08

The viper could be very exciting there. I am a fan of the car in real life but not that good with it on the game... I feel a lot of practice coming this week...
