I'm getting annoyed at myself because I'm posting so much, can't imagine how the others must be...
But we'll get there as a nice Xmas present for Zer0, who's away at sea (hopefully not running into any giant angry white whales)...

Are you referring to Project Cars?

It's way more difficult than DS3 and GT6. I think if this league were on that game id drop 1-2 divisions. However, it's NOT impossible and fun may still be had. Some guys are really fast on the DS4. I don't understand how they do it though.

Yes, as soon as the PS4 gets here, I'm getting PCars but I have a G27 and because our money here is now 4.4 against the dollar, I'm going to wait until a deal such as the one I found for the PS4 appears (or until Aero figures out how to do it with the Pi and I can buy one gizmo from him).
I'm not that great with the wheel, so you can imagine my performance with the DS3... I don't understand how the controller people do it either, but I was wondering if I could start getting a feel for the game (which is what I did with GT6 when I bought it, drove it without a wheel for about 3-4 months, then got a cheepo wheel for about 5 months until I broke it and then got the G27).
From what you say, it's doable, just not as much fun. But I can deal with that...

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Ferrari F40 '92 (Sports: Soft) at Autodromo Nazionale Monza '80s (6 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @lllTrick wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - KTM X-BOW Street '12 (Sports: Soft) at Suzuka Circuit 2014 (5 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @5150S2K gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Rob Brown so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Car Selection Guidelines
Dealership Cars - The maximum price for a selected car is now $1,000,000
DLC Cars - Only DLC cars that are FREE and currently still available in the PlayStation Store can be selected.

Track Selection Guidelines
Any non-DLC track can be selected as long as a single lap with the car combo'd with it would not take more than five minutes to complete. For example, don't select anything that includes the Nurburgring's Nordschleife.

Sure thing! I can't say that it's less fun because I have no experience with a wheel. I find it more fun than GT6 however, even though I'm less competitive. It forces you to drive like you would in real life. There's no more just standing on the gas in an overpowered street car with two tires in the grass. That $hit don't fly in PCARS. :)
 
Generally, you would think three wins along with 2nd, 3rd and 4th place would be good enough for an overall Sunday night win.

However, that wasn't enough the other night when @USERID_77a23 took the D3 honours with a highly impressive haul of a win, four 2nd place and one 3rd place finishes along with grabbing two pole positions laps.

Big congrats User, your success was very well deserved. The force is with you and I suspect that will potentially make you someone to be reckoned with in a higher division in the near future.

Thanks to everyone in D3 for a very enjoyable past season and I wish you and all our fellow Snailers a very Happy Christmas along with a peaceful and prosperous New Year.

Sweet! I will welcome it, even if it will be in the DS4.
Just by looking at Praiano's tunes for PCars (had to find him before even getting the game...), it looks incredibly detailed work.
Now for the patient waiting until the console arrives.....
 
Im on the constant balance of wanting to get the G29 wheel and getting a PS4, both around the same price.

Little fact from last Sunday's racing in D6 @Rob Brown had the fastest lap in every race, no matter which positions he started or finished in. Too damn quick lol:cheers::gtpflag::)

I may have missed something but I checked the results sheet several times now and I count 19 votes for round 2 and 19 votes for round 3....Is there some kind of tie breaking process.

Your count is correct, however one of the votes for Round 2 was done by a driver who did not race round two, which voids the vote.

The sheet the counts votes automatically has it at 20 to 19 as does the results post made by @CoachMK21 this week.

If there is a tie, we will remove the Prize A winner's vote from the tally. If doing so does not break the tie, we will remove the Prize B winner's vote from the tally. If there is still a tie, we will remove the Prize C winner's vote from the tally. It's unlikely that there would still be a tie after that because it would mean that all three prize winners voted to eliminate the most popular combo of the night. However, if that does happen, we will start removing votes of the remaining division winners, starting with the highest adjusted score and going down from there

Eventually it will get down there I doubt it will be before summer though.

But the PS4 deal from best buy comes with a gift card so it's only 299 $US
