Yellowbird... :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown: The key to winning is not how hard you can drive it, but rather how smooth and settled you can keep the car. Understand what the slip angle of the car is, and how you can manipulate weight transfer front to rear will be key. Trust me, adding a little throttle to set the rear of the car goes a looong way. Nice pick.
 
Just a little interesting follow on regarding the Tommykaira ZZ-S.

In 2002, Tommykaira was bought out by Autobacs and this led to the production of a car people here would probably be more familiar with, the ASL Garaiya, which is based on the same chassis and powered by the same engine.

I love a challenge as in IIITrick"s combo 3 last week. Please, please, please practice because sliding is slow. I already hear the comments. "This will be the fastest one & done ever." "What the 🤬 were you thinking?" "This is a steward's nightmare".As I said, I love the challenge of controlling the uncontrollable. That's the part of racing that I lIke most. I've waited patiently about a year to win prize A with this baby. I hesitated, gave some other cars [& karts] a try but in the end, decided to go with my heart. Embrace. Enjoy. God bless. Oh, and I get an "O" for originality, right? Please don't answer! And most certainly, please don't hate me.

Hear, hear! I firmly believe one of the main reasons behind the continued success of SNAIL's core Sunday night league is the variety of combos that the format throws up each week. Aside from the chance to meet up with and race the friends I have met here it is he challenge of trying to adapt to the differences which each combo presents which keeps me coming back for more.

Last weekend was my 2nd anniversary racing with SNAIL (@Kgffy 's too) and I am pretty sure that if we were racing a single type of car each and every week I would have moved on to somewhere else by now. Personally, I know that I have become a better driver than I was when I initially joined this fine league and that has been down, in the main, to being willing to put in the effort to try to get a handle on whatever combo is presented to me, whether I like it or not.

The great thing about here is that there is always someone willing to help you to make improvements no matter what division you are in.

So, for what it's worth, my advice to those with extreme combo aversion issues is to quietly embrace, and rise to, the challenge that these different cars/tracks present.

Positivity is key! :)

HEAR,HEAR,Very good advice my Friend!I also have improved markedly since joining this little band of merry folk,and for the very reasons stated above.Many good people here who are always willing to give tips and advice.
 
My favorite comment was "the fastest one and done in history"...what? Is it going to be eliminated before Sunday night?

All "one and done" combos last the same amount of time. 1 week.:dunce:
Let me try to backpedal my way out of that ridiculous comment. :lol: Umm, let's see; I was talking about lap time. Yeah, that's it.

I just had my first go at this combo. What a treat....brings back the feel of AutoX where car control is key over speed. Definately challenging and a serious lesson in throttle control. I'm not sure where I stack up in speed, but given the fun factor of this car (at least going it solo) on this small track, I don't care. Total concentration to be consistent, and the feel that you really have to work this car makes it a blast. Nice pick. :cheers:

If you are happy with your selection and you thought it out. Then as far as I'm concerned it's a good choice. I'm not a drift racer by nature or choice. That being said, there is always something that can help improve ones racing knowledge and skill. I have yet to NOT learn something from every combo I've practiced in. They all count when thought and detail is put into them. I just hope I'm not the only one who has little to no experience drifting.

Fish slaps!

Drifting is silly in my book. As a fan of formula one and road racing in general, the idea of losing grip on purpose boggles my mind.

I ran 39.7 last night best lap after 8 laps when I took the [my] combo online (I've been told offline test drives are not equivalent). I'm D5.
Yeah, it seems that offline times are a bit quicker than online. From what I've heard the physics model is dumbed down during offline play.

I'm sure to be surprised by D1-D3 times.
Tonight should be interesting with the ruf I'm curious to see how things go in a crowd.

Wouldn't the physics model be simpler online. So there isn't as much lag/delay. The driving experience feels better offline then online
