Hay you're not dead!
If you check out the motorsports section of the forums I'm highly active there.

I sold my PS3 and have been enjoying PS4 for awhile now. Every so often a combo looks cool and I would check it out and be disappointed by the lack of immersion compared to Project Cars or even Assetto Corsa. The racing is still here which is great but I can't feel it the same way as I used to.

If anyone here has been following the constant updates for Project Cars 2 they will know there's a good chance for SNAIL to thrive there when it comes out.

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Honda NSX GT500 Base Model '08 (Racing: Hard) at Silverstone International Circuit (11 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @Grandpa Money wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo Racing Series (Racing: Medium) at Daytona Road Course (6 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @brian540 gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Nicktune so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Car Selection Guidelines
See Section 3 of the SNAIL OLR, Policies and Guidelines.

Track Selection Guidelines

SNAIL PRIZE UPDATE

Prize A this week has been won by a duplicate winner. If you raced in D2 this week, you get one suggestion for prize A. Your suggestion must be made in this thread and you must be clear about it. Multiple suggestions, changing your suggestion, or a suggestion that is not clear as to what car and track you are suggesting will result in all your suggestions being thrown out. If you're not sure, ask. Edits to posts are allowed as long as you don't change the car or track. Again, if you're not sure, ask.

Deadline to submit a suggestion will be 11:59 PM on Tuesday night. At that point @Grandpa Money will make his choice from what is available.

Please refrain from adding photos to your suggestion post. It just clutters up the copy / paste quoting process when they are gathered up.

@Oshawa-Joe @MajorBlixem @racingchamp30 @thorracing @JamCar0ne @Whitey093 @Alexrider007

My suggestion for prize A is: Oshawa Joe

Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo 594pp (dealer) on RH (last used 71 weeks ago) at Deep Forest Raceway/Forward (last used 102 weeks ago).

Prize A suggestion: JamCarOne

XNR Plymouth Ghia Roadster '60 SH 408pp / 414pp 262hp $1,000,000

Indianapolis Motor Speedway Mid-div time 1:08

This is one of the combos I tested many moons ago and is fun with a field of cars. It is faster than you think and is very photogenic. Plus, this car has never been used before.

Just a question for the Snail brass on the future of the league.

As the PS3 gets phased out, what is the next go to game to embrace for the newer platform? I can't see GTS taking over as there are and will be much better games available when the switch happens. The GTS hype train does nothing to excite me. PD has let us down so many times in the past with empty and broken promises and show no signs of change regarding the new game, they lost my trust a long time ago. I haven't played the beta so I am just judging on what streams,YouTube vids and reviews I have seen and so far, I'm not impressed.........that galdarn tire squealing has been carried over, its like nails on a blackboard. Vision cars turn it into a game and not a sim. I predict that PCars2 will blow GTS out of the water.
Once a Snail, always a Snail and although I haven't raced in the league for a long while, I still feel the love and miss racing with the guys from Snail. Right now there is only one PCars Snail league, PITS, on Wednesday, but these guys drive with full damage and are very fast, too fast for the likes of me and I ALWAYS damage myself.......race over. Thing is, there is room on the Dark Side for Snail to grow into the league it once was on a different, better game and platform. The release of PCars 2, hopefully with the all the original bugs from 1 worked out will be the game to go to.

Me and Aero also run a casual lounge night on Mondays with visual only damage set. It's a lounge for middle of the pack type guys like the two of us. Its an invite only lounge so if you might be interested in getting you feet wet on PCars, PM either of us and get aquatinted. We like fresh meat, especially when we can beat them.
DPs need not apply.

Lobanaro Lounge
Check it ouuuuuut.

@Mike Lobban

I'm guessing it will all boil down to what game can best provide the same "soul" that Sunday is known for. Although I agree that the other games will continue to overshadow GT from a driving experience perspective, their limitations of cars and venues just won't work for what Sunday drivers are looking for. When it comes to the Sony branded consoles, I think Sunday SNAIL will most likely continue in a GT platform assuming the new game offers the ability to provide Sunday with the options it needs to live a similar life. Otherwise, keep those PS3's running...

@Grandpa Money Below are your suggestions. Please not that there are two suggestions inside of my quoted message. This is due to my error of posting in the wrong thread.

Prize A Suggestion:

How about the Volkswagon Golf VI R at Streets of Willow? Was a potent combo in Snail GT1 a few seasons back. Not sure on details since i am at work currently.

My suggestion for prize A is;
Honda S2000 LM RACE CAR at Twin Ring Motegi Road Course

@Mike Lobban I think it's a wait and see first and foremost when GTS gets a release date if at all this year and number two whether or not online league's will be able to be created in GTS just like in GT6. Another thing PD needs to do is make sure their servers are alot more stable as well so users are not kicked offline.
