I'm going to predict a one and done situation if a formula car gets picked. Just saying.

Oh, you know, just the Ferrari F10 at Spa.

I'm too excited for the summer break to be over...

Please , someone correct me if I'm wrong but aren't we supossed to choose a car that is under 1 million credits?

I do have the F10 , tuned. I don't plan on purchasing a 15 million credit car for one or possiblly two Sunday races.

Not trying to burst your bubble Jazz!

The WRS guys just finished doing a TT with the F10 and by the end most of the feedback was very positive. Some guys said it was the most fun they had in a while. Twissy even joined Immortalpilot's series. If I can drive the car, almost anyone can. I'm sure of it. What's the problem with speed anyway? A female jumped in our race today and did ok and she doesn't do f1. She had to leave an go buy one. 5 laps later she was racing us without abs.

@tcrash - we can hand out 24 tickets and grind Bobs all night and day if needed LOL.

Everyone should have a SPEC F10 in their garage. Just saying.

I know it will never get approved, but the dream lasted for a couple of hours.

I personally have no problem with F1 cars, they deserve a shot here.

EDIT: fzappa, just go through each setting and reset them, boom insta-stock.

Or select setting sheet B

Besides it's super easy to get that money if you feel like actually playing the game for a couple hours at most. Just run some seasonals.

I told you it was close Vol;) Not one of my better braking moments.

Thats very nice.

My opinon is that a car like that should be used for more of an enduro race , which I would gladly join , like the S.P.E.C. Racing we have on Saturday nights rather than our Sunday S.N.A.I.L. Racing.

I agree with dabneyd on one and done.

I would love to be on GT5 alot more like I used to be but working 12 hours per day does not allow that to happen. I have plenty of credits to buy the F10 , if needed, but trust me , it will be a one and done.

Like I mentioned in a earlier post , I think cars that are under 1 million credits are to be chosen.

I think we need an AWD car added to the mix next week =)

I was looking at the 'usual' SNAIL cars: under $1 million, typically 370 - 610 PP, Premium.

We have put quite a dent in the available FR and MR types, a smattering of FF, but AWD is pretty open.

Based on that, I wonder: Do Subaru, Audi, and Mitsubishi only make slow cars, not for competition?

You mean, outside of the TT and R8? I think some of the STI's are fast. Not so much for the EVOs, and outside of the aforementioned cars, yeah, Audis are slow too.

I love the Lancer Evo VI GSR T.M. SCP '99. It has stripes, and lots of letters on the end of its name(that makes it cool). Quick question, will WRC cars run on racing hards, or Sports tires?

This is true. Prize A and Prize B car selections have to be "conveniently" attainable. Since cars that are $1M or more can't be gifted, we have always steered clear of them. This is also why the vast majority of S.N.A.I.L. cars have been Premium cars (because they can simply be purchased in the Dealership). However, we do allow standard cars to be selected, as long as it's in the OCD when selected and is scheduled to remain there through the Sunday night in which it is scheduled to be raced by the league.

You have a valid concern about the cost. Maybe there is a way around it..

I'm all ears if anyone has a way around it that's convenient and doesn't require repeatedly duping and sending car tickets or require "flipping" car tickets until everyone gets the car they're looking for. Doing something like this would be no problem for a special event like SNAIL X, but it's probably not realistic for an entire league of about 60 drivers.

Maybe we should have a Spec F10 event. Anyone interested?

Sure! I have both Ferrari formula cars and 7 fgts.

Just my 2 cents here but if formula cars are run, regardless of day, I wouldn't want to run normal cars immediately before or after. Those cars spoil a driver for braking and turn in points. I've not had anything but fun driving any of the formula cars. 👍

I wondered if we let everyone vote for their favorite 3 cars and also the 2 cars they can not stand.

Each vote wold have a point value:
Likes:
1. 3 Points
2. 2 Points
3. 1 Point
Dislikes
1. -2 Points
2. -1 Point

Each car would then get a point total and we could compile a list of the cars with the most points. This list could be say 10-20 cars or maybe a number of cars that equals the S.N.A.I.L membership. I would say that they would still need to be under the 1 mil credit amount so they can be duped.

That would then be the approved Standard car list that when you join S.N.A.I.L. you should try to attain. That way we could have a more diverse list of cars that we could choose from.

I know it would create a bit of work for each member but if as members if we want to race more standard cars we will have to do the work. On a side note I am only 10 cars short of the whole list so I know we will have access to all the cars we could ever want.

I would also be willing to compile and maintain the list and help new S.N.A.I.L.S acquire the cars:)

My vote would go something like this though it changes daily:)

Likes:
1. RUF RGT
2. 1999 SUBARU IMPREZA SPORT WAGON WRX STI VERSION VI '99
3. 2002 RENAULTSPORT CLIO RENAULT SPORT 2.0 16V '02

Dislikes:
1. 2003 DODGE VIPER SRT10 '03
2. 2003 SHELBY SERIES ONE SUPER CHARGED '03

The F10 is more difficult to drive but lets stick with it since that's how this whole thing started.

This would be a simple spot race done in SNAIL spirt - SPEC and adhering to SNAIL OLR. Spa F1 is Sunday morning, so I'm thinking we can build up to it by doing our 44 laps Saturday morning 8am Eastern if we can get some people. If we are short on numbers I can invite a few F1 guys to the party 👍

Please post in here if you're interested.

Count me in!

Not sure what I'm more excited for, proper spec F1 racing or the real event Sunday morning haha

My previous statement shouldn't be interpreted as hate on the F10. I like it, I just don't think running a formula race at the end of league night is a good idea. I would be interested in running the F10 (or the FGT since it's always available in the OCD) at Spa on Sunday.

We generally use the D1, D2, and D3 lounges when we want to get together for something. Click here to see how each lounge is used and then send an FR to any lounge you want access to.

Sweet... thanks for the tip. KK and I had fun racing around the Nurb last night. Perhaps we can repeat with more racers.

Sunday we have the real deal at Spa plus we have our league races. We can adjust the time for Saturday if it helps get more guys. Immortalpilot might be joining us.

I have some pretty fast Audi's and Subaru's, the problem with the stock Audi's is that they are very heavy; so it takes a lot of practice to use that added weight properly. However, I never actually race them with the SNAIL spirit without any tuning; but I am sure they would also be very fun.

As far as the Audi's, I like the S4 and the RS6, those should not be too slow as they come out of the shell. At around 400 PP, the original Audi Quattro '82 also makes a really fun to drive and that is not as heavy as other more recent Audis I think at around 1100 Kg with 200 HP.

The other AWD car that I love to drive is the VW R32; also very heavy but really fun to drive.

I concur with the idea of adding an AWD car to the Mix. 💡👍

I would be happy to do some ring laps with you guys in the future. I love the ring:)

I do not have the F10(I have 2 F2007's). So if we are using the F10, i'm goin to need to know as soon as possible. so i can start working on getting the credits.

I fluked my F10...won all bar one enduro in B-spec (2nd in the first try at the Nords 24 hour) and the F10 is what I ended up with as the prize car, lol

For L24 tickets, there are only 2 level 24 cars. The '07 and the '10 Ferraris. Not much flipping required.

As for the AWDs, I was thinking of things like the '07 WRX Impreza STI.
