Looks like I'm out for a while guys if I can't find a fix for my wheel. My G27 finally broke after years of abuse. I'm trying to fix it, and later today when I get home from work I'm going to take it apart and look at the wheel's Optical Encoder to see if it is loose or broken, which is apparently a common problem for these wheels, and mine is having issues that are causing the wheel to go off center by as much as a half rotation to the right after a few races, and seems to be happening more frequently all the time. I've re-calibrated the wheel but it didn't make a difference. If anyone has had similar issues with a G27, and was able to fix it, please let me know how. Normally I would replace the wheel, but with Spring around the corner, my summer car needs some expensive maintenance before a long summer of cruising, so I just can't swing both financially.
Wish me luck on the repair process.

Anyone have Strategy Suggestions for the Porsche 911 GT3 30-lap Endurance race at Suzuka?
Don't know if you got an answer for this one, but I ran it last Saturday. Very frustrating with the one guy waiting for you and then chase through the pack with you all the time. When he is in front of you, he waits. If you pass him he chases you and will even bump you off the track to pass, just to wait for you to catch up again... My advise is to make your way patiently through the pack and ignore this guy by not trying to stay ahead of him when you passed him. If he storms back, let him him go by.

Anyway - what i did was to strap on RH tires and ran at #2 fuel mix for 8 laps and fill the tank without changing tires. Kept #2 fuel mix and at the end of lap 21 (20 should be better) pit and fill the tank and change tires (keep RH, but RM should do the job). Changed to #1 fuel mix and finish 40 seconds of the field.

In this way you do one less pit stop and catch them off guard.

Thanks, Red

Be advised:
Update 1.14 - a long, time consuming one this time. Taking longer than the last one.

You've snapped the optical encoder. the replacement part is cheap enough it just takes forever to get here. I did it on my G27 a while back than I bought my T300. After I order the part of course.

DieBirdyDie is spot on. The only issue to note. You must make sure your encoder runs center of the opening. You’ll see where it sits before you take it out. One hour and a little, in and out with glued up encoder. No drama!

Needs some finish work like a shelf on top to cap off the 2x4s. Then some filling, sanding and a Ferrari red with black trim. About 6 plus hours to build. Did a bunch of research on racing cockpit ergonomics so this thing is very slick feeling. And rock solid.

About $75 Canadian including a Mercedes Kompressor leather seat.

If anyone in the GTA needs one, let me know.

That's my boy fyi. I'm 51 and just a little heavier.

I Will post some pics after I have the Pro Pedals installed and everything painted. Will look better.

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - AUDI R8 4.2 FSI R TRONIC 2007 (SS) at Blue Moon Bay Speedway - Infield A - 10:30 Clear (8 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @SAMHAIN85 wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - ALPINE A110 PREMIERE EDITION 2017 (SM) at Alsace - Village - 08:30 Clear (5 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @spidermonkey gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Mully465 so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Track Selection Guidelines

Ok well I took it all apart expecting to find broken plastic pieces from the encoder wheel, but it was actually in pretty good shape, however, when I took a pic of the wheel to look at it zoomed in, I noticed that on the edge of the upper side of the encoder disc had some light scuffing on it. I'm sure the problem was the encoder disc was slipping on the shaft slightly. I simply glued it to the shaft for now, and once I get a chance to try it out, I guess I'll know if that was the problem or not.
Thanks to everyone that chimed in with suggestions, I appreciate it.

Hopefully that works for you DD!

Take a really close look? That scuffing could be a hairline crack. That’s normally what happens. If it’s glued up, and holds? Voila!

Nothings better than a 10c fix!

Anyone use the Buttkicker Gamer 2? Worth getting? Any idea if all the vibrations can cause issues with wheels?

If you dont know who this guy is already you should watch some more videos on the website. His shop is on the way to my dads so I see them testing cars every so often. Absolutely ridiculous what he does, especially with LS motors.
