I have read the first post and would like to join. I came across SNAIL by doing some google searching for teams/leagues.

@Hothentic
Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add zer05ive, JLBowler, nmcp1, Rednose58, MajorBlixem, SAMHAIN85 & llNovall as participants.

The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL :cheers:

As much as I was looking forward to trying the Sauber @ LeMans... houston we have a problem.

With only 5 gears it can almost get by and not top out if you're running solo. But in a draft it will surely top out at 229/230mph. @Harry Rowley and I just confirmed this testing it.

If only it had 6 gears we'd be good.

I'd hold off on practicing it until we figure out what's going to happen. Luckily it's only Tuesday.

@Bologna_Duc @JLBowler

Edit: The combo will stand. In the future make sure to account for a draft when selecting a combo. Even if you have no one to test with you can still use the AI to draft in a single race.

Ok, that was alarming when I first read it. I really thought with chicanes we’d be ok given that long back straight we’d been running on Saint Croix. What changed?

i think the rule is as long as it's not bouncing the rev limiter and just topping out (i haven't run the combo yet) it's good to go. I remember the Nissan LMP car doing that at LaSarthe too.

Arent they both the same? If the car is topping out, wouldn't it be hitting maximum revs? I understand there's slower cars that could potentially top out speed wise, but still have plenty of rpms left but due to lack of power wont reach them.

If I remember correctly PD released an update awhile back that negated the pegging rev limiter sound. Now it's just a monotone sound when hitting maximum speed and revs.

The way the official results post is worded technically allows for this to happen and to keep said combo even if it does top out:

What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

The keyword is should. This is being discussed right now behind the scenes.

This should still be a fun combo though. And it's not very often we run La Sarthe.

TLDR: Test your prize selections!

Liveries are ready...fun combos for Sunday

Rev limiter may show flashing but until the car bounces off the rev limiter, there isn’t really a big problem.
For sale, one Thrustmaster T-GT wheel and pedal set for PS4 and PC. It's like new - never plugged in or used; I bought it from Newegg in June 2018 and it's been sitting in my closet ever since.

One time that being accused of driving like a woman would be flattering! Real impressive considering conditions. Maybe it’s that all the men drivers have the balls in their throat and she’s got steel balls in her purse!

Did you notice the windshield banner?? Could be a mission challenge, overtake as many cars as possible in a single lap.

World class driving at it's finest. Clean racing, no contact and was even able to raise up one hand to say thank you while driving at high speeds. When it comes to racing, how someone races on track is all that matters and she pulled it off with no problem at all.
