Swamp cooler was the term for which I was looking. JL gets the bragging rights. This was not vindictive Nova, your answer was good and you still get a ribbon for participating. :lol:
I on the other hand, I had to ask somebody at work because it look like some kind of newspaper holder to me. :lol:

I figured it was some kind of ac that forced air into the cabin, but how it cooled the incoming air was interesting. First time I'd ever seen or heard of one of these. Good trivia question.:cheers:

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - BMW M3 COUPE 2003 (SM) at Tokyo Expressway - South Outer Loop - 18:00 Clear (8 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @MikeGrove wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.
PLEASE NOTE: Since @MikeGrove has already won Prize A this season, he is ineligible to win it again until next season. This means that unless he loses Prize A due to incident reviews, any driver who competed in Division 1 on Sunday night will have the opportunity to suggest an entirely new car and track combo. I recommend that all D1 drivers from Sunday night start TESTING combos they would like to suggest. That way, you will be ready to post a good combo when @JLBowler gives the "all clear". It's important to mention that a good combo will not have a car that hits its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft). Also, please be sure to only suggest one combo. Any driver who suggests more than one combo will automatically be ineligible to suggest any combos at all. Please don't let that happen to you. Only suggest ONE combo (but not until @MikeGrove is confirmed as the Prize A winner).

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - LEXUS PETRONAS TOM'S SC430 2008 (RH) at Dragon Trail - Seaside - 10:00 Fine Weather (10 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @Noob01_lmdead gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @gulfvet67 so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and/or tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the time of day (e.g: 09:00 Clear) or else it will be left to default.

Currently tracking 5 Incident Reports
We have at least one prize winner with a racing incident being investigated by the stewards. This may, obviously, change the order of the prizes to be selected. All winners are asked to refrain from making selections until the Weekly Steward's report has been posted.
The target deadline for the Steward Reviews, this week, is Wednesday night by 10PM Eastern. The Steward Summary will be posted as soon as possible, following completion of reviews.
:@: SNAIL Stewards, please make your way to The Incident Review Scoring.
The IR Submission Form is now closed.

All potential prize winners will be included in a conversation in the next few minutes.

Our Prize A winner is clear to make his selection but he is a repeat winner this week. This means that:

If you raced in D1 this week, you get to make a suggestion for Prize A from which @MikeGrove will make his choice.
  • Your suggestion must be made by posting in this thread.
  • You may not edit your post to change your suggestion.
  • Be sure to include the full in-game name of the car and track and time of day. Failure to include time of day will result in default being chosen.
  • The deadline to make a suggestion will be Wednesday at noon ET.
  • Remember that you are not voting for a suggestion that was already made. You are making your own suggestion.
  • Time of day with rain or wet track effects are not eligible for selection.
  • Please do not include photos or other extra text in your suggestion as it just has to be deleted when the posts are grouped together.
SNAIL Approved Track List
Full approved track list can be found here.

Prize winners are allowed to choose the time of day for their track selection. If a specific time of day is not selected then the default time of day will be used. (Note: The time of day settings differ between arcade and online modes in the game. Always check the lobby settings when selecting time of day.) In the event that a track is frozen, the time of day will also be frozen with the track.

Please remember that any car and track combo chosen must produce a mid-division lap time that is under 5 minutes. Also note that any selected track will be bound by the SNAIL lobby settings.

Also remember that any car chosen must not hit the rev limiter at any time, even in the draft.

@LST @Nicktune @Uproar1141 @Timlour @standucci @Rednose58 @Rob Brown @Bologna_Duc @Kgffy @llNovall @Xradkins

@Timlour & I had an incredible battle in combo three, race one at Dragon Trail.

@Timlour is the man!:D

Yes, that was epic racing. My crutch in that race was not being able to get good runs out of Turn 3 due to the lack of grip when I get back on the throttle. I did manage to get it right on the final lap of the second race to get a 1:32 for the fastest lap.

The stewards have completed enough review to declare this weeks prize winners. They are as follows:

Second prize winner is @Noob01_lmdead He has the option to use or pass the freeze. If he chooses to use the freeze, that choice will be made by a vote of the drivers that raced in D2.

Third prize winner is @gulfvet67 He did not reply to the conversation so he is an absentee prize winner. Whatever prize he ends up with will go over to a suggestion and / or voting process by D3 and / or D1 and D2 that raced.

All of this will need to be done very quickly as practice is tomorrow night. @Noob01_lmdead is clear to either pass the freeze or give that option to D2.

Please be quick about whatever you are going to do so we can get this done before practice.

i use the freeze

With @Noob01_lmdead 's choice to use the freeze, the drivers of D2 get to vote to freeze the car or the track. This will be a very short vote as there is going to be a second suggestion and voting period that will have to take place due to the absentee prize winner.

Those that are tagged below, please vote to freeze the car or track. Voting will close at noon ET.

@Grandpa Money @Phlano099 @Yugofan @Fudman420 @andypereyra01 @JamCar0ne @racingchamp30 @Alexrider007

As usual, in the event of a tie in votes, the first vote case will be the tie-breaker.

I’ll vote to freeze the car if my NEP status doesn’t apply here.

Track is frozen. If you raced in D3 this week, you get to suggest a car. I'm on my phone and can't tag everyone that easily so if someone could tag everyone that raced in d3 that would be helpful.

Deadline will be 3pm ET.

Note: as gulfvet is the absentee prize winner, he is not allowed to make a suggestion.

The best way to check any time is to go to gtplanet.net/snail then find the "sticky" thread (one with a red thumbtack at the top of the forum) called 'SNAIL Active Drivers List' 👍
