SNAIL Official practice lobby will be open at 9PM EST. Get there early to save your seat, we've been filling up fast. I will not be kicking any randoms to make room for members since our practice lobby is also a good recruitment tool for adding more members.

If you can't get in you can either keep spamming the join button, or you can take it upon yourself to open an overflow lobby. Don't have the settings? Simple, highlight the full practice lobby, hit triangle, view room info, and it'll have an option to "save settings" without even joining the lobby. Now all you have to do is create/load a lobby.

@Noob01_lmdead will you be racing tonight? Let me know since your internet connection doesn't allow you to join unless you're the first one in.

Last week was plagued with server and connection issues. I blue screened after C1R2, rejoined the lobby and it seemed to be buggy. I re hosted and we still had more problems. Raul then took the reigns and as I tried to join his lobby I kept freezing at the loading screen. Hopefully tonight goes a little smoother
Yes i will race but if I can’t enter the lobby y can open a new one to recruit more drivers

Evening all. Looking for some feedback... Anyone know if the Turtle Beach Recon 70 is a decent headset for PS4? Cat chewed the wire on my other one, shopping for a replacement
New problem.... Whilst looking at Turtle Beach line of products, remembered I got a gift card from my father-in-law for Chirstmas... Went ahead and purchased the Stealth 600 Gen 2 series wireless headset.

Nice set (considering I didn't spend a dime on it). However, it dawned on me with the new addition of a wireless usb transmitter, I don't have enough ports anymore to support Headset, T150, and Hard Drive. I'm positive someone here has run into this same issue, would like to know what type of a usb hub I can use for the wheel and the headset, without any sort of problem. I have been going through reviews all afternoon, and I have found way to much contradicting information on the issue.

Any brands or particular product work best?

I ran into the same problem last year and got a cheapo Anker hub off Amazon. It works fine for my wheel/pedals, keyboard and wireless headset, but won’t charge the DS4 controller. With online reviews I tend to look at the percentages of 4&5s and take 1s with a grain of salt as I think they are often from pissed off people who don’t know how to use said device.

I got a cooling base for my PS4 and used this to give me additional USB ports, bought it on Amazon:

USB 3.0 Hub Splitter - USB Extender 4 Port USB Ultra Slim Data Hub with Individual Power Switch and LED

To all Snail Drivers:

We have 1, possibly 2 open grid spots for tonights event at Autopolis International. I'm waiting to hear from a few more of our signed Reserve Drivers, but wanted to extend the invitation if anyone is interested. A tuning link with multiple tried and true tunes are available, and a livery will be provided for the team you are racing for if interested. Tag me in this thread if interested. Hoping to get the grid full for the night.

Your thought to be careful with a USB hub is a good concern. I have been using an old one for years and then swapped it out and tried to use a different one. The newer one was gave me immediate problems that led me to going back to the old one. Unfortunately I don’t remember any more details than that. Don’t buy the cheapest one you can find, at the very least.

The time passed for me to get one off of amazon in time for sunday, so stopped at Wally world for one this morning. Unfortunately, the only one they had was a powered one, so grabbed it while I was there. I've read a lot of issues involving hubs with a power supply, but hopefully it ends up being okay for Sunday. Fingers crossed...

Ok guys help me decide which wheel hub and pedals to buy my choices are the new Logitech g923 with the shifter $480 thrustmaster t gt think price is almost $600 or the fanatec csl elite starter bundle $565. Leaning towards the fanatec cause upgrade ability but my Logitech dfgt severed me very well with no issues had it since it came out!!!

I went from the DFGT to the G29 and now to the CSL Bundle in November. It’s a great upgrade if you can swing it. And like you say, you can add on from there if you like. I may try to get the better pedals this spring if I can afford it.

I have read the first post and would like to rejoin Snail (meant to do this yesterday and forgot). I guess I can wait until next week to race

@Nick Cannella

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add zer05ive, JLBowler, nmcp1, Rednose58, MajorBlixem, SAMHAIN85 & llNovall as participants.

The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL
