I have read the first post and would like to join.
Found S.N.A.I.L. while sifting through info here at GTPlanet....which I just recently discovered. :gtpflag:

@mellofello9

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add zer05ive, JLBowler, nmcp1, Rednose58, MajorBlixem, SAMHAIN85, llNovall & Akzl298
as participants.

The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

High chance of sand….
Its been awhile since I've shared some of my trips, and with Covid still going on I haven't really been doing much as far as traveling lately. But I did find myself about 2 hrs from Willowsprings this past weekend:

We went to Slab City/Salton Sea first. I didnt find God, but definitely found a lot of weird people completely off the grid.

Salvation Mountain:

If you're familiar with GTA 5 you'll find it in Sandy Shores:

Where the Salton Sea is also based:

We went up to Mt San Jacinto on Monday. It was pretty cool going from the 75F desert to about 35F in the mountains with snow in a matter of about 10 minutes:

Ended the trip riding dirt bikes through Ocotillo Wells

Pretty cool to just pack up on a whim and head out. Definitely love everything Socal has to offer except the outrageous cost of living. I guess they go hand in hand

Last nights practice was interesting to say the least. The Amuse S2000 is a challenging car, just watch the video. I shared the video with Tag #1: 20220120pr3r2 (Jan 20, 2022. Practice, round 3 race 2). I'm unsure if it's an 'instructional' video or a cautionary tale. 😁 The race was 6 laps, took 7:40 and had 14 offs (all solo), and I didn't count just 2 wheels off and some great recoveries while remaining on track. The clean race award goes to @wardyk999, who survived a 2nd lap, surprise lane change in T1.:D PS, I might suggest checking out the terrain on the outside of the last turn as a number of drivers found themselves behind barriers when the dust settled.:). To paraphrase @IceWarden: this ain't no vanilla car. Cheers.:D:cheers::cheers::D

In my testing, I really only encountered issues in the downhill section. I chalked that up to being on a controller instead of the wheel and pedals. Even with the controller, after a few laps, I was able to run clean laps. They might not have been fast clean laps but I was on track and not out in the dirt. Running it with the wheel was much easier for me and I had no issues staying on the track.

Hosts should start the night's racing at the scheduled time. The only reason to delay the start is to sort connection issues for those that were in the room on time or to give someone who was in the room on time their 3 minutes to return to the lobby

Can anyone help me setup a BUTTKICKER GAMER(not 2) using a ps5 and a subwoofer with no optical input?
edit: I think I have it sorted out with a optical to rca converter box.

How do I get to view these replays thanks
The best way to have race replays is to save them yourself. If you forget to do that then you can find the shared replays by searching for the "tag 1" in game. The naming convention for the tags can be found in the SNAIL OLR Policies and Guidelines thread. Check the table of contents for Scorekeeping and Replay Policy.

On a side note. There is a wealth of information in that thread. I would suggest that everyone bookmark it and use it as the reference tool that it is.

Appreciate the reply …thought I saved it . Trying to reference time of incident for my report . It’s Combo 1 race 2 lap 1 and the other driver involved is Cesarr64 !!
