@Chiochansan You had a great idea. Thanks for hosting.
It was a blast, you can get in the zone in a longer race and its not all about pure pace. We ran
@DublDee,
@DefInfinity and I for the first third of the race and then Dee had to refuel and then myself and last came Def in the pits. For sure, Def is the champion of fuel saving, I was running on 4-6 fuel map but I was revving all the way to red line instead of short shifting a bit. Learned my lesson by watching the replay
I Pitted in lap 12 thinking I would make it to the end. Dee came back on track, I wasted fuel on map 2-3 trying to keep up with him only to realize he had to pit another time so that left me on fuel preservation mode from there on.
Def overtook me 3-4 laps before the end, I had to stay on map 6 and short shift the hell of out my car. I was glad it ended on lap 26 for me, I had 1% fuel left to do another lap. Overall, it was a really fun race, the format makes it a bit different from our usual sunday night and its free practice for sunday night. Next time, I'll save more fuel.
I took some photos just for fun, so here they are. The morning to late evening transition is really something. It makes longer races much more immersive. GT7 has all the elements to make awesome races, how PD struggles to put in more single player events, championships and endurance races really baffles me.
@DefInfinity You are fast and clean I would certainly like to see you on track more often on our sunday nights.
