Division 1
  1. A_Mindful_Place --- voted to eliminate Round 2 - Prize B
  2. DUB-L-DEE --------- voted to eliminate Round 2
  3. Nic-KL ------------ voted to eliminate Round 2
  4. DRD_Niagara ------- voted to eliminate Round 2
Division 2
  1. RacingChamp30 ----- voted to eliminate Round 1
  2. radliffpower ------ voted to eliminate Round 3 - Prize A
  3. Canoworms1 -------- voted to eliminate Round 2 - Prize C
  4. JamCar0ne --------- voted to eliminate Round 1
  5. Mac1032763 -------- voted to eliminate Round 3
  6. cesarr64 ---------- voted to eliminate Round 1
  7. Cdn_Sweet_Tee ----- voted to eliminate Round 2
The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Gran Turismo Racing Kart 125 Shifter (SS) at Kyoto Driving Park Miyabi - S01 Sunset (22 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @radliffracing wins Prize A, they get to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Mazda Roadster NR-A (ND) '22 (SH) at Eiger Nordwand Full Course Reverse - S02 Late Morning (12 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @A_Higher_Place gets Prize B, they have the option to freeze the car or the track, or they can give that option to the Prize C winner. If they give the freeze away, then they get to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @CANOWORMS1 so they get whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the Preset Weather and the Time of the Day (e.g: S01 Afternoon) or else it will be left to default. Available settings can be found under Time/Weather Settings, when creating an online Lobby, after selecting your track.

Race Date: 13 October, 2024
Currently tracking 2 Incident Reports

We have at least one prize winner with a racing incident being investigated by the stewards. This may, obviously, change the order of the prizes to be selected. All winners are asked to refrain from making selections until the Weekly Steward's report has been posted.

The target deadline for the Steward Reviews, this week, is Wednesday night by 10PM Eastern. The Steward Summary will be posted as soon as possible, following completion of reviews.

:@: SNAIL Stewards, please make your way to The Incident Review Scoring.

The IR Submission Form is now closed.

Niagara's Weekly What I saw Column
241013 Edition:

Very low participation this past Sunday. We only had 4 drivers in D1 and I believe another 6 in D2. Weird that we went through the summer months with decent size grids and struggling a little bit in recent weeks.

Has an all-Canuck grid ever happened before? Because that's what we had in D1 despite it being Canadian Thanksgiving weekend.

Combo #1:
Last week, I managed this combo mistake free but wasn't so lucky this time. Perhaps as light tap by @A_Higher_Place but being the gentleman that he is, he waited for me but I should have caught my car on this occasion.

Combo #2:
@DublDee must've spent lots of time during the week driving this thing because he was clearly better than the rest of us.

A rare opportunity to highlight our racing suits.

Blue Flag Alert:
The pic below probably represents one of the most ridiculous, absurd, and surely never to happen again moments in Snail history.
@DublDee , @A_Higher_Place and myself have joined a very exclusive club as Snail drivers to have lapped @Nicktune during a Snail race.
SHARE_20241015_0622310.jpeg

Combo#3:
Things were restored in their natural order in Combo #3. @A_Higher_Place , @Nicktune and @DublDee looked to be having the time of their lives while I struggled to hang on. I'll take pleasure that I can be spotted in the same pic (way back, coming down the hill) as these guys late in C3R1.

Holding up traffic in C3R2.
SHARE_20241015_0623110.jpeg

Solid results by @A_Higher_Place in this combo as he won both races, holding off a fast charging @Nicktune .

Thanks for your patience, see you at the Car-Show.

Been away for a bit, but took a few extra days before coming home from the glen to do some hiking, just now catching up to round out my yachting trip.

Pardon the potato pics. This I snapped driving by at 65mph.

We need to add to the weekly SNAIL schedule. I'm thinking...but any suggestions? An official practice night? A Spec endurance series? More jamcar0ne chili pepper challenges?
Maybe even an open wheel shoot out?

Saturdays and Mondays would be the best for me, I like all those ideas. Also would like to do some rally cars sometime.

Let's take the Miata to Autodrome Lago Maggiore East. Weather: S03. TOD: Late morning. Lap times: Me (after 5 laps) 1:45.4 @Marcus Garvey 1:42.4
I’m a little confused. I ran this combo for a couple laps and it was in the 50 seconds range. Are you laps times actually 42-45 seconds and not a minute 45 seconds ?

Also, my car shows only 440 pp but the settings sheet said BOP set at 450pp.

What am I missing ?

It's definitely sub 1 minute lap time, and pp is 440.59 rounded up to 441.

When the car is fitted with SH tires, and nothing else, the PP rating will be 440.59, as Joe stated. The Lobby PP should be set to 441 and any cars with more than that will fail to enter, with BoP on or not and, BoP will do whatever it does, according to whatever rules it goes by. Will check out lap times tomorrow evening to verify.

I know I'm not the fastest, but this is ridiculous. Do you guys have the right Lago Maggiore? 'East' not 'East End'. Fortunately I have photo evidence:

Edit: As stated: Autodrome Lago Maggiore East. Course length 3643 m.
If this can be done in 45 seconds that's an average of 180 mph. I don't think the Miata is capable of 180 mph...down hill...with wind. lol

We need a check on track selection please @CANOWORMS1

1:45 appears to be the correct MDLT. I turned that on my second lap. Spun in that long right hander leading up the hill on 3rd and called it good.

@Marcus Garvey is an 👽👾, right there with @Nicktune and @Worst_Driver . I expect FL in D1 to be in the 1:41s and possibly the 1:40s.

1:41 is in the realm of the possible, 1:40 is in the realm of @Nicktune
I’ll be on tomorrow night BTW. I’ll host and take care of data and scoring as usual.
