Merry Christmas Everyone.

I guess I better post my selection for next week races. I am choosing to say goodbye to the Audi TT. Not a bad car but I feel it was just a bit to slow and did not offer enough of a challenge at the Nurb GP/F track. So my choice is to go with an even lower PP car. But I do feel that my choice should be fun, challenging and promote some more good close racing.

1990 MAZDA RX-7 GT-X (FC) '90

I hope you like the choice.

New Care Dealership??

Merry Christmas guys.

Will we be driving something from the OCD this weekend? Some amazing cars in there we haven't tried yet. As a benefit the OCD cars don't require breaking in, just an oil change.

Yep new car dealership. So start breaking it in now.

I almost selected a car from the OCD but it was high PP and I was not sure what Joey was going to pick and I really wanted a lower PP car.

Oh man, what happened to the NSX?

Wow man... Just wow! I be havin' me a shiny new copy of GTPedia!!! Thank you so much to all that were behind this! I am, and always be a gamer and since the first incarnation of Gran Turismo, I have always had a copy. I have played the game for over a decade now but since I have been a SNAIL I can say I am a driver, albeit not a great one...:dopey: I hope the creators of SNAIL really take stock in what what you have created, pat yourselves on the back for a rare job well done. Thank you all, happy holidays and look forward to Wednesday practice and the next Sunday battles!!

S.N.A.I.L. just plain rocks!! (insert SNAIL flag here!)

Got the wireless connection up and running here so no more just using the one computer to log in here as well as getting the bonus stuff for logging in each day in GT5. Hope everyone has a great Christmas and new year :)

Merry CHRISTmas!!!

For anyone looking to save a few extra min when it comes to breaking in cars. 70 complete laps @ Indy will do the trick. 177miles and broke in. This only holds true if the '90 RX has 212 horses max. If not, sorry to waste this spot for something more important. :dopey:

Well it was close. If I knew that Joey was choosing a low PP car I would have chosen the NSX. But in the end I really wanted a low PP car. I am pretty sure there are a few others that agree. Plus Joey can still choose the NSX;)

My RX7 is running 213 hp and 413 PP

Making a few laps in this car has made me feel old. I had a really good friend in high school that had one of these. We had so much fun with that car, did so many stupid things. It was pretty fast for it's day too... That is until I got my hands on a '94 Mustang with a 5.0, then it wasn't so fast anymore. I bought it wrecked and rebuilt in a few months during senior year as my first fun toy. The woman directing traffic at my school hated that car. I was in a hurry one day and may or may not have laid rubber at her feet one day when she made me wait. Needless to say I was in the office the next day.

That's ok Joby, now I got a chance to ramble on like an old man so I'm not too upset. It should make some good racing still.

Any one up for a few quick laps head to d1

2 discos. Going to call it quits for now. Sorry weaver.

I do think it will be some fun racing :)

Damn internet. If our couple laps are any indication, this will be a good combo.

If anyone wants to know, I expect lap times will be in the low 2:30s. Just my guess after about 5 laps.

Agreed it is why I choose the car. I think there is just enough room to make small mistakes and not loose it while allowing drivers behind opportunities. I do think it slides nicely:)

I had a friend that had a non turbo and it was a great handling car in its day. My first fun toy was a Merkur:dunce: Was a lot of fun but not very reliable. 2 transmissions in 3 months. Granted I was not the kindest to it especially since it launched really well if you dropped the clutch at 4000rpm on a cold day:) Got smart and sold it and bought a brand new 92 Civic Si.

Yeah I went through a clutch or two... 10 years later, I'm working 2 jobs so I can still afford to have toys. Life was much easier then.

Look what I got for xmas! Expected some snail videos soon!

What a great Christmas! A copy of GTPedia from SNAIL (THANKS GUYS!) and a Turtle Beach headset from the family! Now you guys will finally get to hear my famous colorful language when I have an off! Hahahaha, just kidding. Probably ;)

Dabney. I don't know that the progressive spring is needed for the G27 any more. I recently got mine and the spring that comes with it is definately progressive in resistance. I don't know if this is someting Logitech changed or not.

Would you say that the brake pedal is significantly firmer than the clutch pedal?

Nice , that's like the one I use. Really good quality and easy to use! Looking forward to seeing some videos :)

At the very beginning of travel the brake is slightly stiffer than the clutch. Within the first quarter of travel brake stiffens noticibly and continues to increase in firmness throughout the rest of the travel. It's really quite nice. During racing, it requires effort on my part to get it all the way to the floor. The clutch is the same resistance all the way through travel.

Wolfsatz, berdiyev, and tcrash, thanks for the awesome pics!!

Merry Christmas SNAILs!! Looks like some of you scored some nice gifts while others simply "scored".

This is my experience with the DFGT that I got in March. Perhaps Logitech has improved it.

Also: Merry Christmas! :)

I think I may need to requalify for a division. I'm making the jump from the DS3 to a G27 which I got today, so I doubt I'm going to be as quick as I was before while I'm learning to use the wheel.

For the next week or two, you will be a bit slower and extremely inconsistent. After about two weeks, sometimes less, you will be right up with your DS3 average times and never want to go back! Resist the urge to win easily with the DS3 in these next two weeks. You will thank yourself later.

I'd like to join some of these events. Please add me. Any of you ever race with the Tunas or the TPRA?
I assume DudeTuna is one of the Tuna's you speak of. He joined last week and had his first race on Sunday. I was not there but I think he had a good time.
