I love to drive with Rammstein. "Links 1,2,3,4" is one of the favourites.

Sorry to correct you Shmiggz but its actually "Links 2,3,4". My OCD just kicked in when I read that. Anyway, I think my driving song would be Blinded in Chains by Avenged Sevenfold or just about any song from the Need for Speed Underground soundtrack.

Are you sure it's drunk? It could just be practicing for NASCAR at Daytona!

"To close" by Calvin Harris is a great snail driving song, also "them bones" by Alice and Chains, and any thing by the Psychedelic Furs. We got some rockers here, you guy's like the hard stuff.

Usually it's engine noise that's my soundtrack, but sometimes Leviathan by Mastodon helps me drive fast.

-ATTENTION SNAILS-

Tonight starts Season 8 of SPEC

We made some changes to the format and we at SPEC encourage everyone to check it out!

This race is for everyone, from D1 through D5.

This season, we are proud to announce that we will be racing the Nissan GT-R R-35 TC from the DLC car pack at Laguna Seca

The race starts at 10PM ET / 7PM PT in Snail Division 2 lounge

Please check out the SPEC thread for all the details.

The room will be open for 16 racers so if your looking for some fun racing, come join us!

Speaking of practicing for NASCAR I found a rare video from a NASCAR driving coach that I thought I'd share with all the SNAILS. The wisdom this guy shares is incredible. I learned everything I need to know about racing NASCAR from this video.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bG2OcW_Hwkg

I really enjoyed the part about looking out the windshield. "If you see another car, don't go there" I will try to follow this advice on Sunday....No promises. Lol

Steward Update

NEW: Anti-Hybrid Policy

"Spec racing (also called one-make racing) is a type of racing where everyone competes with the same car. We also prohibit tuning in order to ensure that success is determined solely by clean driving skill and not by differences in car power, gearing, suspension, weight, or aerodynamics."

Hybrids can hold performance advantages over regular SPEC cars and are therefore prohibited from being entered into SNAIL SPEC Events including our Sunday night events.

It has been recently discovered that Hybrids (hacked cars) can be entered into Tuning Prohibited races using a "grip multiplier" that can increase the grip level of a car. The performance improvement will be indicated by an increase in PP relative to the grip increase.

Drivers found to be using Hybrids (hacked cars) in official SNAIL SPEC Events or Races will be banned from all Future SNAIL Events and Races.

As a precaution, we need all Division Race Directors to set the Max PP Level for each race combo prior to qualifying.

Off topic. In Herndon VA at the air and space museum. Thought I remembered some Virginians in the league. This place is awesome.

Normally, that would be 2 1/2 miles from me. Have fun tonight, guys. I head back to the States from London on Monday evening. Glad to see the 2000GT is still there. GP/D sounds like a great choice as well. Even the NASCAR has me (albeit nervously) interested. Sorry to miss the scrum again, but not sorry enough to give up a few good pints and some terrific tours.

In d1 turning laps in the nascar if anyone would like to join.
Or not, looks like my car tuned itself somehow, and defaulting everything didn't help. Can someone send me one please, I don't really care what driver.
