I'm once more in downtown Vancouver, on Waterfront Road looking west over Crab Park (I think). This park sits east of downtown Vancouver, right on the waterfront between the cruise ship berths, to the west, and the container terminal, to the east.

I will have a lobby open this evening testing more old junks on hockey pucks, somewhere round 830PM, about an hour from now. Feel free to join, still trying to tighten the gap for Minis vs Mustangs a bit.

Also, if folks are struggling with the cars; glad to help keep the car underneath you.

Edit: Room Open

Good morning SNAILs 🐌 🐌 🐌

Joshua Tree National Park for the background of my car show this week. My wife and I went there for a few hours while on a little Las Vegas vacation we took during a furniture moving job.

I noticed while arranging the shot that the racing stripes got smaller as the cars got bigger. Not sure if y'all know this but adding a SNAIL banner on the front windshield makes your car faster.

I'm opening up a practice room for a little while. I've been seriously lacking in the practice department lately. Let's see if I remember how to drive in anything but a straight line down the interstate. See y'all Sunday.

Practice lobby closed

Awesome, thanks for letting me be apart of the SNAIL crew. Appreciate you all!!!! Will I be sent instructions on how to find you guys, pretty new to all of this.
Welcome! We're glad to have you. There are a few ways to locate the lobby come race night (9pm EST Sunday). From the Home screen select Multi-player, then Lobbies. The two best ways are as follows.

1. Select the first circuit of the night to search for (tonight would be Streets of Willow Springs) and look through the list for ◇SNAIL SUNDAY Div-(x) MEMBERS ONLY. (x) being your respective division (D1 in your case).

2. My preferred method is to send friend requests to other division members, especially the host and backup host, and select the little box at the top of the lobbies screen that says "rooms with friends only".

There is usually a practice lobby opened up at 7:30 PM EST Sunday night by @Worst_Driver (D1's usual host). I suggest joining it if possible to get some practice with the group and to send or recieve some friend requests. I've been hosting D2 and will usually send you a friend request as soon as I see you on the grid list.

Tonight, I plan on letting @Mac1032763 (widowmaker420) host so he'll have some practice in case I can't make it in the future.

Going live! I’ll be in the lobby soon, just have to give my viewers the back story of the chapters so far.

A pre-race note/reminder.

13: Track Boundaries:

A:
Using walls or fences to gain an advantage is not allowed. Contacting cones, brake markers or any other movable obstacle that is outside the track surface is forbidden, whether time is gained or not and whether you have two tires on the track surface or not.

B: Two wheels (except when airborne, where the vertical projection of the car onto the track counts) must be in contact with the track surface which is defined in the SNAIL track boundaries guidelines. Simply going outside of the track boundaries is not cause for a penalty by itself. There must be an advantage gained, either distance or speed, over the line that would have needed to been taken to stay inside the track boundaries.

C: A full explanation of track boundaries can be found in the SNAIL track boundaries section.

Willow Springs-
  • International Raceway - No exceptions. As always, pylons or cones are not to be contacted.
  • Horse Thief Mile - There are no lines or rumble strips present. Two tires must remain on the paved surface at all times.
  • Streets of Willow Springs - No exceptions. As always, contact with cones or pylons is subject to penalty even if you are otherwise within the stated track boundaries.

Tsukuba Circuit - No exceptions.

Though a ways off, I wanted to place this on the radar as an open invite to all existing and new SNAIL members. This is our next SNAIL Friday Night Racing Series to start in June 2025, SNAIL-Michelin Pilot ZO6 Challenge 2025.

This series is a One-Make, similar in form and function to our Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge series from prior seasons. We will be using the '20 Corvette C8 built and spec'd to a "ZO6" "Cup" styled race car....again, similar in performance and function to the 992 Porsche GT3 Cup car we last used. Have a look through our first post. Entries are open. Any questions, please reach out. Always looking to afford more SNAIL racing and welcoming some new names.

How do I file an incident report? I smacked RJ hard in D2 last night and it punted him off track. I feel bad about it
In the first post of this forum there is a link to the OLR. From there you can find Incident Report Instructions in the table of contents. Along with a lot of other helpful information.

I'll make it easy for you this time. Here's a link.
