D7 RACING REPORT

11 racers showed up but we lost some during the night due to connection issues. We had a lot of fun as many racing action through all the combos. Thanks to @pubason for hosting, @polygrizz for scorekeeping as data and @DCschwinn for replay upload 👍. Congratulation @o8_jedi for an amazing overall win , 4x gold & 2x silver  , so looking forward to next Sunday races!

 :gtpflag: Race Clean - Race Fast - Race SNAIL :gtpflag:

This organisation keeps on redefining the meaning of doing things at a SNAILs pace! Well done everybody involved in processing and publishing the scores so quickly and efficiently last night. 👍

I'm testing the 670deg setting for the G27. I'd be very interested to hear what our D1 drivers use and what they prefer as far as settings.

I've always been of the opinion that more range is better, but I find I turn in too late for many corners.
I'm D2 and I have always used the standard lock settings on the G27 except for when driving a Formula 1 car like the Lotus 97T.
Steering sensitivity affects controllers only. It sets how fast the wheels turn initially. Good way to see what it does is to look at the front wheels of an open wheel car while turning them.
I noticed a small change when adjusting the sensitivity from -2 to 0 on my G27, but maybe that was all in my head.

It looks like we have a winner in the first auction on the Snail Marketplace thread for the Hauppauge PVR.

Congrats to @msgt-sd for winning the PVR.

As soon as you transfer the 129 $hells over to me, send me a PM with your name and shipping address and I will send you the PVR.

Keep your eye on the Snail Marketplace thread because you never know what might come up next for bidding.

The TT leaderboards have been updated and can be found here

Maybe I am the only tech-nonsavy person trying to access the Time Trials - but they are not legible on my phone.

The date links are displayed - when I click on one of them, the TT text appears in black text OVER the listing of links.

It's probably my ignorance on display.

The seven at Brands Hatch has to be the most frustrating combo I've had to deal with in a very long time. I can't seem to stay on the line I want in the attempt to use all the track and not lose momentum. The results are catastrophic.
I've done more laps in this combo than any other in the past and still can't complete 7 laps without crashing. I know, you are saying slow down, but I can't go any slower.

As if my opinion is of anything to consider, being the King of the Div Elevator. But I find Combo 3 to be very rewarding WHEN the "It" is found.

I use1st gear only around T2 (the hairpin) - then primarily 2nd gear the rest of the circuit. 3rd gear is only used on the downhill after the overpass, and for a short time on the Start/Finish straight.

Patience is the Rule - don't push it beyond The Pace that you are comfortable with. Let Attrition take care of the competition in front of you.

Seems to work - as long as I obey my own advice. And not let Testosterone take control of the accelerator.

Yeah I did great 6 out of 7 laps following that advice! (don't ask about the 7th it was a gift for penguin)

I was having a blast with it last night. Birdy and I had cleared away from the field a bit and I was just keeping up with him in case be slipped up. Not until the 2nd to last turn on th last lap did he go off and I took the lead. Very exhilarating.

Hahaha Birdy stole my post!
