Ok thank you, how do the TT runs work?
Easier to have you read the welcome post instructions than to explain. There's A LOT of information to go over before joining. It can be overwhelming and time consuming at first, but read it thoroughly. This is the best, most organized league on GT6 (my opinion). That's because it's been very well thought out with important rules and structure.

This is directed to @Jaguara , @JLBowler and @zer05ive and all SNAIL members.

I was thinking that seeing as we don't get to ever race the full NURBURGRING course on Sunday nights, maybe it might be fun to include it permanently as a time trial event...Maybe every week or two, or once a month we pick a new car to run just to keep it fresh.
Something like this might be fun with a little tweaking....Let me know what you guys think.
What would be your first suggestion for a car?

I think he made his suggestion last Sunday.

My suggestion is the Toyota FT-86 G SPORTS Concept at Apricot Hill Raceway. I think this would be a great combo

Different nascar bishop. mrnascar242424 is in D6. RPM_mrnascar2424 is in D5.

👍👍 Thank you for the clarification Mark. How did I ever mix them up? :dopey:

Actually, both those nascar names are the same person. One is a PSN ID and the other is a GTPlanet ID. This one person is in D5 so their suggestion will be thrown out.

Funny you should suggest that cause after I watched that video it made me want to jump on the PS3 grab an old race car with that same beautiful sound and drive it around the Ring. That's when I thought about including it in the time trials might be fun.

I think an exotic track deserves an exotic car...say a Ferrari, Lamborghini or maybe even an Aston Martin would be cool!!! Are you saying I get first pick maybe? 💡
Otherwise what do you think of the idea @Jaguara ?
I wouldn't want to ruin any surprises...but I would really like to know what car you would pick for such an event...specifically.

(Unfortunately, the $20 million Ferrari might not be the best choice due to the price alone :(. If that was your choice, then give me a second choice as well...and if that is the Muira then give me a third choice as well...and so on... :) )

How about that LMP2 Zytek Nissan? Certainly quick but not crazy high powered so all divisions can enjoy it. And it's $1.5M I believe. Not too pricey.

The suggestion window for D6 is now closed. I will edit this post momentarily to show all valid suggestions.

Post edited: These are the suggestions from which to choose.

Prize Update

The prize A winner @richroo is clear to choose from the suggestions made by the D6 membership. They are listed in one post a couple up from here.

The new division 2 winner is @socalnatv and his adjusted total of 86.13 is good for prize C.

The division 4 winner is @JLBowler and his adjusted total of 86.38 is good for prize B.

They are both clear to make their selections. The stewards will continue to review the remaining incidents and the final official results will be ready later in the week.

I choose to pass the freeze to @socalnatv so he is on the clock to freeze the Z4 or Suzuka.

Well off the top of my head my top 3 choices would be....
#1 Ferrarri 458 Italia... A modern classic with great balance.
#2 Aston Martin V12 Vantage....A little nose heavy but sticks like glue. One of my all time favourites.
#3 Ford GT 05 .... Good old American muscle.

Bonus is all these cars sound and handle great and are very affordable unlike all the old classic car and race cars in this game unfortunately.

Now here's another question...if we were to do such a thing...how long would we do the TT for?

Standard TT is 12 minutes, like on race night. That should be enough to do a single lap in many cars, but keep in mind that once that lap is done you have to sit around and wait for the timer to expire in order for the TT to be recorded....
Thus extending the time has a drawback...anyone have suggestions?

@JLBowler Freeze the track.

Make it an even 10 minutes. That's enough time and you're not sitting around for too long after.

I am most likely never going to participate just because when i have the time to sit down and race, i prefer to race and not run a time trial. With that in mind, I would make it a true time trial. You get enough time to run one hot lap. Adjust the timer and the start position as needed (if you can adjust start position in time trials).

Take that for what it's worth, which isn't much. It's just an idea.

@JLBowler Freeze the track.

I will get on picking something tomorrow in the AM portion of the day. I had two great basketball games to work tonight and I'm still a little amped up. I'm trying to relax with a cigar and some scotch that came straight from our former foreign exchange student from Glasgow. It's called Whyte & Mackay. She said it's just a basic scotch from over there but it is excellent according to my tastes.

I don't know, while your waiting you wrap your Christmas presents, turn over the laundry , change the cat litter, let out the dog, beat your kids ( just kidding ) etc...

I wish there was a setting that allowed you to just do a number of laps regardless of how long they took...however the only setting for time trial events is based on a time limit. Making a limit that is accessible to all drivers is a challenge.

@singlepaddy which Nurb track layout would you select? The 24hour, the Nord, or the other long one there. They are all just over 15km.
