Simple solution moving forward: @SAMHAIN85 can host a D1 (red) room, @racingchamp30 can host the D3 (blue) room and D2 can go where they want. This will allow ample room for both current and potential new Snail members to practice and a feel for the league. Isn't that what we did in the past when we had a lot more divisions but less people showing up for practice?

We've tried this in the past and I've mentioned why I dont think its the answer. The last time we tried to do this the 2 lobbies were completed lopsided simply because there were way more D1/D2 drivers showing up to practice than D3/D4 drivers. So you have one lobby with 12 people in it and the other with 5. When a D3/D4 shows up to practice later he naturally will want to join the bigger lobby (as most would be tempted to do) and then stays in the bigger lobby for the rest of the night.

If we have a total of 24 people wanting to practice as we did last night, I think two lobbies of 12 is only fair. And as the night goes on and people start dropping out, once our player pool goes to <16 we can consolidate down to 1 lobby. The sooner we know how many people are showing up to practice the better. But we have to communicate for that to work

"You" refers to me?

This so very very much. I'm not well off financially and I was still able to get a keyboard off Amazon for around $10 USD. If all of your USB ports are being used then buy a splitter to add more. There's no reason we all shouldn't have one now that voice chat has been eliminated.

Guys, I am a very brand new member, just a couple of days ago. How are the practice room lobbies communicated to everyone? How would I know which room to join and on what day/time?

Practice lobbies open throughout the week but those are "unofficial". The official rehearsal for Sunday night is on Thursday at 9pm EST. There will be a post here in this thread at around 9pm announcing the opening of a room. Stay tuned to the chat in game and on here as the room fills up. If we end up having a full room with many trying to join then a second room will be made so be aware of this and act accordingly.

While we're on the subject: I'd love to join the practice sessions but I'm on the West Coast and 6PM is too early for me. Not saying the time should be changed, I understand I'm probably an outlier. I'll keep an eye out for any sessions that are run during the weekends and join those if I have time.

You're more than welcome to join later and stay as late as you can.

We have a link somewhere with a map for anyone that wanted to pin their location. I'm curious now what the ratio is of east cost to west coast.

Like mentioned above "official" practice is on Thursdays. Mondays and Tuesdays generally arent going to have much in terms of practice since were still waiting for the new combos to be announced. As we get closer to Sunday practice really starts to pick up. And about 2 hours before Sunday racing begins youll find at least 10 people getting in laps before we begin racing.

You guys should visit the active drivers list and add as many snails as you can. Not everyone posts a message here when they open up a practice lobby - but if you have them on your friends list youll be able to see their lobby ingame when you sort it by 'display friends only lobbies'. Cheers

You should also “friend” as many snails as possible on PSN to help find practice lobbies. Thursday night is the official night, but there’s almost always an ad hoc room up in the evenings.

Edit: sorry, Sam beat me to it.

Here is the map post that @DesertPenguin mentioned.

@SAMHAIN85 The problem I see with having exactly equal rooms is when you tell driver A, B, and C to go the room Beta is; the rooms aren't on the same pace for racing. So you get someone or even 3 people coming into a new room when they could just finishing lap 1-2 and not willing to back out and start over for the new arrivals. Now you have 3 drivers sitting there for an entire race with nothing to do, or 2 of them back out and going back to their original room only to find that they have started the race as well and they are **** out of luck.

That would be why he stated in the post quoted below that we have to COMMUNICATE. He underlinded it. I put it in bold and capitalized it for emphasis.

If I can break up this practice conversation for a moment, if a driver misses half a month of racing, that would count towards regulation correct?
