Scoresheets for 2025.03.16 have been created.

Attention all SNAIL drivers, a new season of SNAIL's Monthly Friday Night Racing is set to kick off in June and we are back in a Porsche. However, this time we are using the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport, powered up to a "Cup" car power spec of almost 500hp. Aero will be specified with other upgrades being specific to the series. Only available tuning aspects will be through suspension and differential settings, with HP being adjustable to meet specified PP driver regulations established through time trialing.

After the first event, Success Penalties/Concessions will be "awarded" as the season progresses to bring pace and driver parity even closer.

See the link in my signature of the SNAIL-Michelin Pilot Challenge and check out Niagara's re-caps/broadcast links in the 5th post to get an idea of the racing that can be expected.

Entries are being accepted and preparations are underway with Time Trials and data being collected to establish parity across all driver skill groups.

If interested in the details and possibly joining us for the series, please hit this link:

I have read the first post and would like to rejoin
@Baby On Board

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

"We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:
"

1. You start a conversation and add zer05ive, JLBowler, nmcp1,llNovall, Akzl298 & Dragonwhisky as participants.

The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.

4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

And then, there's this other guy in D1, who, after announcing at about 20 after, "I gotta buy the car" (paraphrased), rejoins the lobby with about 5 minutes to spare and throws this down in Round 1 Race 1.

Yeah, @Nicktune . Sorry? I just don't really think you were. ;) 😛
  • What's more impressive is the 57.2 on the 2nd lap.;) Whatever car you're in, 96% of the footwork to get the car around the track is always the same. If you learn how to move your feet for a given track. You can just copy and paste with different cars.
  • The ZL1 was a nice surprise. I remember it being awful on racing tires.
  • I've been sleeping a good 2 hours before the Sunday night races (I wake up 30-40min before race start) for the past 2 weeks. It really makes a difference. You don't have your whole day on your mind.
@Dragonwhisky Ps: I also bought the ZL1 last minute. I tought I already had both cars.:D

All I can do is laugh and say, with admiration and envy, you suck.

Napping is part of my Sunday race day ritual too. Can't say it makes me faster but it does mean I come to the party rested somewhat. Us old guys need our rest ya' know.

It's been great to see strong participation the last few weeks and it's still going strong in D1 with an 11 car grid. It was another good night of racing as usual.
Also, D1 data entered.

@Buffalo_DRD Your licence plate is a nice touch ;)

The Z4 and the BRZ has the same exact PP but they feel so different. The BRZ feels so much quicker and more alive than the Z4. I still like the BMW though ;) I hope it will stay around for another week.
@Villy31 I like your SNAIL themed liveries, keep them coming !

Deep Forest Reverse's first corner moments before disaster. It is an awkward and weird corner especially after race start but it's still a favorite of mine in both directions.

@Noob01_lmdead closely followed by @hurbinator and @superb3113 leading to the final straight. Tight battle for 7th place.
2025-03-16 Race 4.jpg

@Dragonwhisky leading the pack on lap 1. We traded positions later in the race and you pulled out a great overtake on me at that exact corner a couple of laps later. Good racecraft as usual, it must have been something running by side by side afterwards in VR.
2025-03-16 Race 4 (2).jpg

Battle for 1st place on the last lap, led by @ErickGaToRR followed by myself and @Nicktune. Finishing order ended up being the same as photographed here.
2025-03-16 Race 4 (3).jpg

Another close finish just behind for 5th place. If the finish line would have been a couple of meters further, @Kgffy would have overtook @bublyman
Except for the awkward first corner, this was a very enjoyable combo. The GT86/BRZ twins never disappoint.
2025-03-16 Race 5.jpg

This one was a duesy. That ZL1 is a hard beast to handle even on SS tires. Not my favorite but I'm glad we ran it, I'm all for variety, this is what makes SNAIL unique.
2025-03-16 Race 5 (2).jpg

On lap 2, I just lost it at Eau Rouge. You had to be careful not to upset the car by bottoming out the suspension which I was not. I clearly was not the only one that lost it there.
